"We're looking at some decent programs, like Central Florida, where Michael Jordan's son (Marcus) plays," Tim Maymon said. "That would be a great school that he could go in and they could pretty much get to the Final Four and do some damage."
Tim Maymon also listed Mississippi State, Alabama and Nevada as potential landing spots for his son.
"Right now, it's like he's up for recruitment," he said. "All I can say is ever since Buzz made the announcement Monday night, my phone has been ringing off the hook."
I feel sorry for JMAY following this idiots advice. Central Florida in the Final Four???? Why not have him join the Detroit Lions and win the Super Bowl??

You really have to feel for Jeronne if that is what his dad said. This is a sad state of affairs.

So far this year UCF has lost to Niagra, ND, and USF but if you add JMAY with his 4 ppg your right in the Final Four hunt, RIGHT!!!

5 Marcus Jordan G 6-3 200 Freshman Wilmette, IL [/b]
a roster filled with no names
not much in the way of acclaim
and yet they will go
to the ultimate show
because of tim maymon's great fame

Really a sad situation. Still haven't seen a quote from Jeronne. Let the kid speak for himself, he's certainly old enough. It really is a shame Tim is screwing things up for him.

the son has yet to say something
about what the future may bring
the father meanwhile
talks mile after mile
about getting that final four ring
-
All of those schools listed are far away from Madison. Perhaps they will be able to let J-May be himself without the outside distractions. Good luck kid!
-
Seriously, Tim Maymon either needs his head examined or he's making these comments while under the influence of some kind of mind altering drugs. Like many others have said, you gotta feel for Jeronne. Somebody needs to step in and give his pops a dose of reality or he's going to continue to lead his son down a path to constant failure. Truly very sad.

tim's employment seems a bit stealth
could it be he has independent wealth
when jmay goes away
in madison tim will stay
until his bank account has better health

"Right now, it's like he's up for recruitment," he said. "All I can say is ever since Buzz made the announcement Monday night, my phone has been ringing off the hook." - Tim Maymon
...great to be the one everyone wants to pay attention to again, isn't it, Timmy?

This is comical and very funny and expected.
-I wonder if he actually sounded serious about the Final4 part. Buzz must just be laughing his ass off. Then again, "It's not about Buzz Williams vs. Tim Maymon."
-I wonder if Tim Maymon was holding a sign in front of him that said, "I am high, please don't believe a word I'm saying."
-Was this whole incident a ploy to get Tim into the agent business. After all, he rolls with a bluetooth wherever he goes.
-It must feel good having your phone ringing off the hook and it not being the State of corrections calling.
-Going to Orlando area is just part of Tim's goal to party with some "fly bitches" (direct quote from him in one of my conversations about him and his partying 'skills')
The only 'damage being done' will be off the court.
-Tim, weren't the guarantee of student section tickets to MARQ good enough to want him to stay there? Or is nothing truly like leading the student section at Madison Memorial games?
-Tim, were you wearing that retro-Nintendo jacket, yes Nintendo game controller jacket, at your mini press conference? If so, it was just a warning for the audience to grab the controller and flip the channel.
-Tim, do you really think your antics will allow you to 'mooch' off Michael Jordan at UCF? All he might do is hook you up with some of his sons' sloppy seconds.
-Does UCF have a job available where Tim can drive around in carts all day around the athletic facilities and claim to do work, a la working at UW-Madison maintenance staff?
Hats off to Super Agent Tim Maymon
-No hate, just love for being too funny. This is getting borderline www.Deadspin.com material it's so comical.
-
Do you think Tim Maymon thinks he will get to hang out with Michael Jordan at their sons' games?
-
I thought I'd help Tim out:

Could Tom Maymom just be looking to suck up to MJ as a fellow parent of a UCF player. Is he that shallow?

That's about what Tim Maymon's eyes looked like when he said this. But he was wearing the Nintendo jacket.
-
CF already has 16 players on the roster. Not one of them even a senior. How many scholarships do they get down there?

Maybe Jordan supplies his own Academic Scholarships for achievement in the classroom.

please...this isn't haiku. It's a limerick, per Chico's request

but at least he will get to wear Jordan's!!!! Oh, wait....

As a fellow Madison native, I was hoping Jeronne would have a great career here like Wesley, but unfortunately it appears as though that will not be the case. I wish him the best, but I also hope that Tim lets his son live his life. I know this has been said repeatedly on this board, but he really needs to let Jeronne figure things out for himself. Maybe I'm being Naive, but I like to believe J-May, in his heart, really wanted to be here and learn from Buzz. I could be, however, and probably am, wrong, which sucks. That said, wherever J-may goes, this MU fan and mad-town native will be rooting for him, and at the same time hoping Tim is minding his own business and letting Jeronne live his own life!

The great Tim Maymon makes it seem as if this was Buzz's announcement. Maybe I read it wrong Mr. Marinovich, but I think this was YOUR announcement....
-
I love how Tim said Monday that he knew nothing about this...what a pain in the ass dad. He must have 24/7 beer goggles on for his sons skills. Take him wherever you want he is not going to be a pro or make a team go to the finals. After seeing him play I am starting to really think that Vander is the reason Madison was so good.
-
Wow is that sad. Central Florida, where Michael Jordan's son plays...kinda says it all as to where this guys puts his priorities. I'm assuming as soon as he gets the call from Isaiah Thomas, Florida International will be a done deal...He played in the NBA, you know.
-
Maymon will have the option of tranferring to a place close to home where he'll get a lot of touches and can be on the perimeter.
Jeronne to Hamburger U.

This is one of the funniest threads ever. I prepared myself to read the next two posts upside down and in poetic form.
I really can't believe how big of a jack a$$ Tim Maymon has become. The first 10 games must have been really hard on him since he didn't get quoted in the paper. Running up and down the sidelines is tame compared to yanking your kid out of school because he is playing out of position for one year.
God bless you JMay!

I fixed it for you. ;)
Actually, I could understand pulling your kid out after a full year if you really believed he was being misused. I doubt I'd do it, but that would be difficult to watch as a parent (and there would be many, many other factors to consider). But pulling him out nine games into the season -- that's just insanity rearing its ugly head.
I really wish this kid well -- seems like a difficult situation for him.

Problem is that he is not a kid. He is supposed to be a man. In Iraq and Afghanistan our nation has thousands of 18-24 year olds behaving and performing as men. While Tim Maymon may be an overbearing ass Maymon need to grow a pair and act like a man.

i am not sure if Buzz has heard j-may speak for himself this whole time. I believe that the son wanted to stay at MU. He really liked it here! How screwed up is this?

I agree in some respects and disagree in some respects. I think he is a kid, but I agree that it is time to grow a pair and act like a man.
I also think many of those soldiers out there protecting and fighting for our country are kids -- but, as you said, they are behaving and performing as men. Thank God for that. God bless them and protect them always, but especially now.
-
That's just the thing, it's not like J-May was incapable of talking for himself, making his decision, etc... he just hasn't spoken up to make anyone think that this was his idea. It's a shame really.
-

Don't hold your breath waiting. This seems like Tim does all the talking. We've heard of JM uttering just three words this whole time. "I'm not happy." Other than that, he's said nothing, I'm guessing because TM told his boy he'd do all the talking for the both of them.
-
Tim Maymon has a facebook. Just got accepted. Will keep you updated.
lol

Is Buzz his "friend"?
-
Is Buzz his "friend"?
No, but he's got some people made at him on his wall for buying a bunch of Marquette tickets to see his son.
And when MU was on ESPN over Thanksgiving he literally pumped the crap out of that telling everyone to watch his son and that he "loves MU"
-
What will be really funny is that whereever he goes, he might not start. Especially, if he wants to be a star instead of a team player.
-

He will start. The problem at MU, is that we have 2 very good forwards in Butler and Lazar. Fulce and Williams are improving. Lets say he goes to Baylor, he starts.

Tim Maymon's Facebook status:--regarding a friend buying a bunch of MARQ tickets and mad doing so.
" i dont know , maybe still go to the games or sell them? they did him wrong and he wanted out..they did not want him to shoot the ball,so he asked to tranfer..that was it nothing else.."

Notice, he says my phone is ringing off the hook
It's humbling to have been so close to such greatness
-
The thing is, I bet he is right. I bet his phone has been ringing off the hook.
I bet that a bunch of low-major D1 coaches have correctly assessed that by the time he and his headcase father get rejected by all the serious D1 programs, they'll be scrounging for the best place to end the mess they've created. And one or two smart low-major coaches are hoping that it will be their school that he choses to land when no one else takes him in.

I hooked him up with that good stuff.
