3267 users .. and we just passed 150,000 postings last night, too.  (140,000 of them are classified pro-Crean, anti-Crean, pro-Buzz, anti-Buzz, pro-Warrior, anti-GE, pro-Murff, anti-Murff....)

I think I took some time to come up with a new moniker.. needed to make a clean break from Rivals.

.. But we were just talking about the fact that the first few months, year, were when we put a ton of effort into the site, growing it, finding articles, starting threads, recruiting people, dropping business cards at the Bradley Center, etc, etc.

Now the place runs itself, grows every day without much effort.

I started following recruiting back in '99 at the old rivals recruiting site.   Took me a year to find this place(don't know why).  But thanks for a great site and all the work you put in.

It is a little depressing to think how much time I have wasted over the last 7 years....in a good way though.

Any time my wife mentions my MU/college bball obsession it's in reference to this site, i.e "he reads the recruiting message boards."  Kudos.

Really, I'm just happy it's still a thriving community.  The folks that are registered and post here, create ALL the content for MUScoop.  If there were no posts, nobody would come.  So thank you!

In the first few months, the mods did have to generate a lot of discussion.  After that, you all took over.  We never really knew what to expect when the site was launched 7 years ago.  Of course, it was quite the coup to get mu_hilltopper and SoCalwarrior from the old board. Couldn't have done it without their help.

As 'topper alludes, some days it seems like way more than 7 years, but generally the time flew, and we do it because, well, we love MU hoops too, and without this community we'd be lost most of the year as well.

Thanks all, and esp. Sir Larry for the reminder.  I even forgot  :o

Thanks to the users and the mods (except when you ban me and don't ban Chicos, or get mad at me for dissing dorks that are insanely into breaking bread or whatever that show is).

The mods are here to remove the BS and stay in the back ground. I think that has been accomplished. Some will disagree, but I assure you we've lost our sense of self and only act as unbiased jurors.

This is a good time to commend the mods for the work that they do. You somehow manage to keep all of us mostly in line, contribute, but remain relatively unbiased throughout the whole thing. Kudos and thanks.
