I'll start with the obvious one that dwarfs all others....UCLA:
Lew Alcindor
Bill Walton
Gail Goodrich
Sidney Wickes
Marques Johnson
John Wooden - Coach
UNC (going off of how good they were in college)
Michael Jordan
James Worthy
Tyler Hansbrough
Phil Ford
Antawn Jamison
Coach - Dean Smith
Go with my heart:
Jim Chones
Maurice Lucas
Larry McNeil
Dean Meminger
Dwayne Wade

I'll go with the other team I root for... Duke.

I hate Duke, but I do remember Johnny Dawkins being a sweet PG...and wasn't Grant Hill a 3? I would bump him down to SF and put Reddick in at 2.
Yeah, Hill and Battier played the 3... Redick disappeared from too many big games to make the list. I thought about Dawkins, but he would replace Battier, who to me epitomizes what Duke basketball should be. One of my favorite college players ever.
Also I hate Duke, but Bobby Hurley may be the best true pg in ACC history. Jay Williams was more of a scorer.
I hate Duke but Bobby Hurley is better than Jay Williams.
And Jay Billas needs to be on the list.
Laettner
Walton
Maravich
Oscar Robertson
Ewing
Bobby Knight

wyane Wade. Come on now, if he's in the all-time greats list he at least deserves to have his name spelled correctly. ;)

You can't forget Chris Jackson (Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf) who was one of the most proilific scorers in college history.
Also for LSU Bob Pettit... one of the best players of all time
Averaged 32 points 17 rebounds his senior year
Went on to be a 12 time allstar and won the first MVP awarded in the NBA.
LSU might have one of the better teams...
Hard time matching up against those 4
Shaq
Pettit
Pistol Pete
Chris Jackson
and even if Dameon Mason is playing, that would be a tough team to beat with another alltime team
It's Indiana, It's Indiana

You could throw in Stromile Swift and you'd have yourself a pretty good team.
LSU Tigers
C- Shaq
F- Pettit
F- Swift
G- Maravich
G- Jackson
Head coach- Dale Brown
Just did some research on LSU greats. I would put Durand "Rudy" Macklin as their fifth member. He averaged 17 and 10 over his career and was a 2 time first team all-american in 80 and 81:
C: Shaq
PF: Macklin
SF: Pettit
G: Maravich
G: Jackson

Who else would you have coaching them? Brown was there for over 25 years and has the most wins of any other LSU head coach. I'm well aware of Coach Brown history with the NCAA and the Lester Earl debacle. Regardless, he's still the best they had.
Indiana St

Thats all... welcome to the final four Indiana St.
Houston's all-time team is tough to beat -- for starters, 3 of the NBA's 50 greatest from a few yrs back:
C - Akeem
F - Elvin Hayes
F - Clyde Drexler
G - Otis Byrdsong
G - Rob Williams (a first round pick himself by the Nuggets...a prolific collegiate scorer felled by drugs at the next level)
quite a group

I figured Lovellete could be the PF. I think Raef is their all-time leading scorer so its tough to leave him off. Mayabe Manning could play some point forward. JoJo white definitely isn't a bad option, neither is Jacques Vaughn for that matter.

for his career hurley averaged 1.7 more assists per game than willaims did while averaging 7 points and 1.5 rebound less, willaims also shot 43 points higher overall as well and had 30 more steals even though he played one year less, the only other thing hurley has over willaims is free throw shooting
do you think mark jackson is the 2nd best pg of all time since he has the 2nd most assists?

Fisher over Johnny Orr? Orr did it without cheating.
It's debateable, but Fisher had 1 National Championship team and two other Final Four teams. Then again he was never named Coach of the Year like Orr.
And it's not like Fisher pulled a Kelvin Sampson or Eddie Sutton (or whoever on Sutton's staff was stuffing envelope's with money).

How the hell is a shortstop on a team that spends more money then anyone else a better leader.
I honestly feel leaders in baseball are ridiculous.... especially on the Yankees, Jeter doesn't lead, he just plays baseball... or
Why doesn't Jeter become a leader and tell A-Rod to stop playing with Madonna's thong and get his head out of his behind and play in October.
The only leaders up there that I will give you above someone like Hurley(although there are others you didn't mention) are:
Brady
Manning
Jordan
...
But I think he was talking about College Basketball, and not all of sports.
Boy I don't know. Jeter may not be the most talented SS in baseball right now, but if I were starting a team and had my pick for every position, he would probably be my guy at SS (though Jose Reyes would be tempting). Is that because he is a leader? Don't know, but he certainly does seem to possess a quality that most guys lack.
I think you demonstrated the difference in your own post. A-Rod is perhaps the most talented player in the game, yet when October rolls around, he seems to turn into Mike Lamb. When the lights get bright, Jeter seems to get better. Couldn't that be considered leadership?

They did beat Penn for third place when they still had a consolation game.
I grew up across the street from Depaul and loved them that year but have despised them since 1981.
