I recall someone mentioning in another thread that one could log in to fox sports' online site/app and be able to watch the full game, while the TV channel bounces from game to game. Not sure if that is correct.

I'm just gonna go up for it. Opening night is worth it just to get to see the team.

That’s how it was done last season ……..I’d be shocked if the full game isn’t available on the app.

I thought FS1 was going to televise 7 BE games Monday, but none in their entirety, and with staggered start times. And that the network would do "look ins" at all 7 sites, like the MLB Network does. So viewers would see bits and pieces of every game.

Although I could be wrong.

Strange, I have a subscription on Spectrum to get FS1 and FS2.  On my TV I can watch live FS1 or FS2.
But on my computer when I log into Fox Sports and tell my provider is Spectrum, it tells me my subscription does not allow me to stream.
However, on my computer, if I log into Spectrum and then go to live TV on Spectrum web site, I can watch FS1 or FS2.
I hope I can watch the entire MU game.  Later with Fox doing game flipping.
Anybody that understands what is going on, would appreciate knowing.

Yes there is fox sports app for apple tv. You can sign in to the app through you tube tv, but you do not need to sign in to watch the game.

I have often found that when FOX won't give me the truth that I can usually find it on OAN or Newsmax.  Maybe they'll have the full MU game on tonight.

I obviously can't speak for what's going to be going on with the Fox App tonight, but I also have YTTV and downloaded the app and it seems to work.

You downloaded the app on YTTV?  I'm seeing the Fox Sports network, but not an app for YTTV.  Do you mean you downloaded the app on a Roku, or whatever else you use to access YTTV?

No. I downloaded the app on our Roku.

But since you mention it, I should probably check to see if our Vizio has a Fox Sports App. I only use the Roku for things that our Vizio doesn't have. When we got the TV, Vizio didn't have a deal with HBO so they didn't have that app (they do now). The only thing I use the Roku for these days is Bally. I will have to check my tv to see if they have the Fox Sports app. That would save the inconvenience of having to switch inputs to get to Roku.

Gang, you don't need Roku to download the app.

I have one "smart tv." I can download directly to the TV.

I have a second patio TV with Google TV. Google TV will allow the Fox App to be downloaded.

ROku is on the rest of my TVs and unless I want to watch in bed, that won't be necessary to download.

Get a ROKU box, download the Fox Sports app, you are welcome!

Good grief, people.  It’s 2023 - clarified for those who are struggling:

1.  Get a Roku box (or some other streaming device - Firestick, Smart TV, Apple TV, etc).
2.  Download the Fox Sports App on whatever streaming device you prefer.
3.  Login to the Fox Sports App with your credentials to a paid service that gives you access to FS1.
4.  Watch live broadcasts, replays and other Fox Sports content.

It’s not hard, and it gives you everything you need for all Big East games not on CBS Sports or ESPN.  And, guess what there are apps for those, as well.

I have never missed a game - been using Roku from the beginning.

and watch it on your PC instead of adding extra steps... Or does your PC not have the capability of connecting to the internet...

I guess Fox Sports could have done doubleheaders on FS1 & FS2. Leaving 3 games on not on TV. The games are not behind a paywall, say ESPN+. Not really an issue.

Although I can watch live FS1 and FS2 on my TV through Spectrum through my Apple TV box, when on my PC I go to Fox Sports Live and try to watch an event live, Fox tells me that my Spectrum Fox Sports subscription does not allow it.  Never had this problem in past years.  If we weird and frustrating.
On my PC If I go to Spectrum.net and log in and then choose Live TV and go to FS1 or FS2 channels I can watch.  I am just afraid I will be stuck with the Fox game switching version of stream versus being able to watch Marquette from start to finish.
Very Bizarre.

Earlier today on, I think ESPN, I saw that the game was on the “Fox app” but now it says nothing. So I went to the Fox Sports app and there it says the game is on FS1. Perhaps someone from Fox got the message from scoopers? LOL. Or is that a misprint?

Just downloaded the FS app to my 5 year old Sony Bravia via Google Play Store.

Same here on my Sony. Hell, if I can do it…

Actually DG stepped in with the advice…he’s making house calls till 7 tonight!

You will need to sign in with your cable provider.

They must like you.  My preview was only for 5 minutes.
Have some patience, FFS.

They just told you it was two hours.

I have Roku so thanks for the heads up on using the Fox Sports ap.  Working fine.

Do I understand the Fox Sports ap is also accessible through You tube TV?
Thx.

I went into my settings and deleted the data from the Fox app.  Then I started Nord VPN and continued watching the game.

I watched the second half here in India on the Fox Sports App.  How convenient.

I cut the cable in 2018.

Seeing the exact same conversation play out on McIlvane's twitter feed is hilarious.

That happened to me, too. I logged out of tv provider and logged back in and it seemed to work after that, if you were still having trouble.

Do cord cutters who refuse to pay subscription fees realize they have to jump through all these hoops?

If it did I did not see it, so imagine my surprise when the game was interrupted. So I pointed my phone at the login code on my TV, tapped on the code, chose my provider and was back in business. I did not have to log in to my provider account at all. Not bad for an old fart like me.

I was surprised by all the confusion on basic streaming...  For most people the hassle is not worth it.  This game was an outlier because FS1 was jumping between games and you could only get the full MU game on it's app.

It allowed me to stream the Marquette game exclusively.
Hopefully, not an issue for the rest of the season.

It will not be an issue bc MU is on FS1 CBS or Fox the rest of the year - no more streaming needed.

Correct. Yet, if one is not by a TV, anything on FOX. FS1. FS2 and BTN is on the Fox Sports App. Very usefull at Fiserv, caughting up on other action.

MU is more frequently the late game and if the earlier game runs late they always don't switch the late game to FS2, so the app is handy in those situations.
