This has Creighton fans crying online calling Marquette and Shaka classless. What a buncha babies.https://twitter.com/MattFosterTV/status/1628262630107258882?t=-RRFFaJWCXJgLyoEL4TeZA&s=19
I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we have a coach who makes fantastic halftime adjustments. The first 12 minutes of the second half last nite was a clinic and had the Creighton fans around me frustrated and stunned.
I didn't read very far, but the large majority of the responses I did read were positive.
I think his temperament is something MU fans can easily relate to as he was raised in Wisconsin.Nothing wrong with letting emotions out and doing a little fist pumping. Just beat a very talented, tough opponent on their home floor for probably at least a share of the BE Conf. title.
0.00000000 wrong with showing some emotion there. Huge win for MU and he realized we have usurped prime position in the BEast and beyond.
How I feel tonight ....February, 1974. Milwaukee Arena. Marquette coach Al McGuire leaps on top of the scorer's table and celebrates after Maurice Lucas hit a ridiculous last second jump shot to give the Warriors a one point victory over Wisconsin. In the stands almost directly opposite McGuire is Glenn Hughes, father of Kim and Kerry Hughes, Wisconsin's "Twin Towers of Power". Walking in the foreground is dejected Badger Coach, John Powless. Marquette went on to the NCAA tournament and finished second overall. Hank Raymond's reaction is priceless too.Notice Mr. Hughes "salute" to Mr. McGuire. Anytime you can get Bucky fans this upset, you have my utmost respect.
