More Bilas love for MU!!   :-*

Bilas' pick: Marquette

Marquette I love this question! Who will come out of nowhere and win the title? Who will surprise us to the point of shock? Nobody knows. However, if I had to pick one team that could be really dangerous in March, and rise up and become a major contender, I would pick Marquette.

The Golden Eagles have been there before, reaching the Final Four under Tom Crean in 2003. Crean is a great young coach who has chosen to stay and continue to build the Marquette program instead of bolting for more money and more resources.

Crean has guards, and a load of them. I believe Dominic James can be the best point guard in the country before season's end, and he and his running mates, Jerel McNeal and Wesley Matthews, make up arguably the best backcourt in the Big East -- and the nation. Dan Fitzgerald can shoot it, and Lazar Hayward will step in and play right away.

Marquette was in the NCAA Tournament last year, and had a wide-open last shot against Alabama. The Golden Eagles will be a contender this year.
