OT: Bulls - Mavericks
« on: January 18, 2017, 06:29:40 AM »
Gotta appreciate this paragraph in the ESPN summary of last night's game (http://www.espn.com/blog/chicago/bulls/post/_/id/23951/familiar-script-dooms-bulls-in-loss-to-lowly-mavericks)

"The Bulls keep burning their own hands, though. Aside from the lackluster effort and errors early in the game, the flaws that have been present all season remain. The late-game offense, centered around isolation sets for [Dwyane] Wade and Jimmy Butler, remain too predictable. The Bulls' defensive miscues allowed for Mavericks swingman Wesley Matthews to drill a wide-open, game-winning 3 with 11.7 seconds left."

Go MU.

They showed highlights on SportsCenter this morning in the two minutes each hour they aren't in commercial, and mentioned the MU connections several times.

Great final play/clip ending has JFB, Wes, Wade all mentioned.  Of course Wes was the man.  MU trifecta.

We'd to the Bulls! Only half kidding as he'd actually be a lot better at helping that team than Wade or half the guys on that bench.

I don't watch as much Bulls as I did when I lived in Chicago, but I believe I have seen enough to have decided that Hoiberg is in over his head and the decision-makers up top don't do their jobs very well.

Even a best-case scenario with this roster is middle-of-pack, 5-6-7 seed, overpriced-talent kind of stuff - the exact thing Reinsdorf said he wanted to avoid when he blew up the championship Bulls at least 2 years too early.

The worst-case scenario is years without playoff appearances and a fan base that finally might realize there are better things on which to spend disposable income (including the Cubs).
