When Jop passed up the wide open shot and took the contested 3 I was sure it would miss.  Whew

My God, Joplin is bad.

He’s probably been our best player this half. Or Kolek.

Stop, score, come out strong in the 2H after a terrible stretch of hoops.

Crap.  This is exactly the game my pessimistic self was picturing all week.  And that was a horrible foul call on Oso. He just moved to the side and the guy fell

Yup, those darn refs again, they are playing good defense against MU.

Sidenote, Kam Jones is hurting, went to knees again.  Hope he gets some rehab at halftime.

Gibson’s 3’s look like they barely get above the top of the backboard.  The opposite of Kam

Use Oso more in the 2H.  The good news is we played poorly but are still up 1.

Expected a not very sharp 1st half coming off a week off. Not disappointed.

This is one of the worst halves we have played all year.   And we are ahead one.  Come out second half on fire Marquette!

Halftime thoughts:

Omax - he’s been unplayable. Bad on both ends
Kam - hope he’s not hobbling to start second. If so, don’t put him on the floor. It’s a liability.
Tyler - Not bad, but needs to olay more under control
Jop - loved his first half. Confident and in control. Good D

Umm, I pointed out one obviously bad call. I didn’t say the refs are the reason MU is playing down to DePaul’s level.

Honestly, if there’s a team beating expectations now, it’s DePaul. He had good things to say when Kolek was dropping dimes.

It’s not like there’s been a lot to praise on either side.

Shake em up, Shaka. Get them to focus and win this thing.  Top of the Big East at stake.
