You are correct on VaTech and Wisconsin, but that was for survival. That last two weeks of the '77 season was pressure packed and ultimately was part of the defining moment of the Al era. This week, due to structure and quality of opponents, makes it different. A big week here changes everything about how this program is viewed nationally.

We're definitely in agreement on all of this.

It's gonna be cool to eat our turkey, stuffing and pecan pie Thursday knowing that our Marquette Warriors at #1 again!

Agree on your last sentence.  I think many fans who pay attention to college basketball this early in the season are waiting for this group to fail.  Not that they are checking scores daily or rooting for it but probably just expecting them to lose to a couple big boys this week and have CBB go back to the normal pecking order.  My Kentucky and IU friends are interested for sure after both lost this past week to Kansas and UConn respectively.

We win this week, there will be no doubt that MU is one of the favorites to win a title.  Which is what they respect.

With their size I just hope we don't get into early foul trouble. They don't seem to be a 3pt shooting team so I am sure they are going to exploit their size in the paint.

It won't be possible for us to get into early foul trouble.
Have you seen the CST start time?

Early AM here in Jersey; good thing we play in Milwaukee, but I don't want any late foul trouble either.

Dang

Haven’t bet in a while, was confident at half with MU -1,5.

Had 500$ on it, paid 400$

Pushed it to 2 to pay 478$

That was a mistake, but it no matta, the dub mattas

I took the -1.5 at +114

Also had the -5.5 though so only won a bit of $.

But the win is all that matters.

Fortunately we were spared from the "exceptional outside shooting" of Berke. You would have been way off if Berke didn't have such a bad shooting night.

That was his 1st College Game.

He's a projected 1st Rounder for a reason.

By far the best UCLA has played so far and got an out of body experience from Sebastian Mack. Did not expect them to stay with us at all. Definitely got this one wrong.

Sure,  but its not because he's currently an exceptional outside shooter!
