The bold look of Kolek
« on: November 19, 2021, 08:05:45 PM »
1.  TK's leg looks better.     He controlled the game.
2.   Great to see the comeback getting nothing from Morsell.   A whole lot of other guys stepped up.
3.  Everybody just plays without fear.   Amazing.
4.  Greg looked rusty.   Then comfortable in the second half.
5.   A pattern.    Sluggish first half.   Curb stomp second half.    Red Bull IV's at halftime?
6.   Just so much fun
7.   Rest up and win this thing.
8.   I wonder if Kolek helps with scout for St. Bonaventure.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Give it up already… the admin ain’t paying that buyout so you might as well get comfortable until 2025 at least. Then after that we’re looking at  bare minimum a 2-3 year PAINFUL rebuild. Frankly - we may not see the NIT until 2040.

The admin didn’t technically pay for it so that is not wrong

They gathered the money to pay for it… like MU does with almost every other non-routine venture.

Shaka talks the talk, then backs it up. His interview from April:

Shaka: I think before you talk about that, you have to establish a foundation of how you act, how you interact, and respond. That’s what culture is, those three things. We tell our guys all the time, in order to be champions you have to act, interact, and respond like champions. You don’t just show up and cut down the nets because you want to. You have to build out those cultural elements and live them every day, so that’s certainly realistic to build that.

Everyboyd playing without fear... like champions and championship culture.

Damnation, this is a TEAM!!!!

These guys play together from the begin to end of the game. There's no quit with these guys. Love that they're still fighting at the end. Coaches are making a Huge difference.

WVA has a senior laden, experienced team. And down the stretch they looked gassed and tentative. Our mostly young team looked fresh, poised and FEARLESS. This is fun.

Love Kur's approach to blocking shots.  Not to denigrate Theo but so far...1) He's not flying around attempting to block shots he has not chance at and thus allowing offensive boards, and 2) He has done an excellent job of blocking and maintaining possession.  That's a skill that you don't see a lot in college.

Kur got better at not fouling while at Oklahoma while putting up better block numbers than Theo.  I like Theo but Kur is a clear upgrade

Also Kur blocks shots lightly to allow teammates to get it. Love Theo but his slam blocks off the glass would typically end up in the other teams guards hands.

4 to 5 years to judge.  Or was it 4 to 5 games?
