Not specifically people here, but many of my friends act like the Hawks were the underdog and the Wings were the favorite.  90% of them were about making fun of the Wings rather than enjoying the fact that the Hawks were clearly the better team that almost blew it.

That's all true but let's remember the Wings are hockeys' equivalent of the New York Yankees and the Blackhawks are somwhere between the Cubs and the White Sox. They might be the better team this year but historically they are the underdog franchise.

Go B's

Last night was a great game, even if the result was not what I was hoping for.

Jagr is playing well.

And Rask(sp), unnatural carnal knowledgeing Rask.

Anyone else think that that was a really odd game? Its one of those games where I dont really know how thw Hawks actually won. Bickell is reminding me more and more of Andrew Ladd everyday.

Bickhell has been outstanding.  So good that I'm beginning to doubt the hawks will be able to keep him around.  He's going to get a very nice contract somewhere this offseason

Yup.

This happens in hockey more than any other sport. It's extremely frustrating when your team is on the losing end of games like that.

I think the Hawks have this series in the bag, and I really expect them to win the cup. IMO, they are the most complete / best team in the league, and they are playing like champs.

He's made some money, but he's really not going to be worth it. Jimmy Hayes can develop into the same player.

Bickell reminds me more of Byfuglien in front of the net than Andrew Ladd.

Stay classy...I dont need to deal with obnoxious Bruins fans here too. Scoop has been a place where I can get away from the name calling to talk about hockey.

Sorry, ive just been really pissy after listening to the media last night and this morning giving the Hawks no chance to win. As well as the "we swept the Penguins" argument from all the Bruins fans. Just play the games.

Boston fans not liked in LA either.  May buy a Blackhawks jersey for the Cup Finals. Best looking gear in pro sports

As a resident Bruins fan here,  especially knowing lots o Hawks fans are here,  I expect a great series.   Know the Hawks play a very team game,  like the B's, and that every puck will be fought over.

I know it's a little cliche,  but this B's team is insanely close, and they truly play for each other,  above the city they play for. I think 15 of these players played on the 2011 team, and I think this passion plus an a great amount,  IMHO underrated talent will bring Lord Stanley back to Boston.   B's in 6.

Quick rundown of the B's, and what I think you can expect.

Top scorers: Bergeron, Krejci (leading NHL in points in the playoffs), Marchand, and Horton.

Our top line of Bergeron, Marchand and Jagr has been effective, Bergeron is great a faceoffs and probably cheats a little bit, so look forward to that.  2nd line has been a beast, with Krecji leading the way with Horton (who will be making some big bucks outside of Boston next year) and Lucic (while has gotten going scoring wise, is a big body, hits hard and camps in front of the net.  3rd line with Kelly and Seguin can surprise folks, and the 4th line is patchwork, with Gregory Campbell breaking his leg last week, but our goon plays on the 4th line, Shawn Thorton.  If you haven't seen it, Campbell broke his leg on this play, then played the next minute on it, incredible.  http://deadspin.com/bruins-gregory-campbell-breaks-leg-finishes-shift-511765108

Marchand is an pretty boy, but he is our pretty boy, expect a few slashes, some taunting from him.  Has never been afraid to chirp at the opposing bench.  You will hate him, trust me.  But he is gifted offfensivley.

Boston relies heavily on the forecheck, and is great at it.  Lots of dumping the puck into the defensive zone, then making plays and try to get the the defense caught off guard or in a vunerable position.

Defense anchored by the big boy, Chara, but also a solid group around him of Seidenberg, Ference, and McQuaid.

Goaltending, Rask has been great, but the defense I around him I think doesn't get enough credit.  Pittsburgh just couldn't get off good shots, there timing was off, and Boston really packs it in on the DEF side.

Again, really looking forward to the series.

Hawks in 5. Bruins sneak a close one by at home in game 3 or 4, but that's it.

Hawks in 7, only to hear Jim Cornelison one more time.

Gorilla Salad doesn't play a single minute.
