I know (I think?) everybody is just having fun with the suggestions that Matt buy his new baby a Marquette outfit or that he name him/her after our heroes, but I'll say this anyway:

I would be quite disappointed in him if he did anything close to any of that. He is a journalist -- and, it seems, a good one -- not a fan.

I love the coverage we're getting from Matt. We need it to continue. What we don't need is another cheerleader.

He can still do that and not be a cheerleader. The two are mutually exclusive.

Marquette if a girl?

As long as the she isn't ever planning a trip to Italy.  My italian friends always get a kick out of my Marquette gear.

Marquette if a girl?

Rumor on the street is they had a baby girl this morning, and the first three letters of her name are "Mar".
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Mariela Grace was born at 8:36 a.m. She weighs 8 lbs 3 oz & is 20.5 inches. She & mom are great — I'm thrilled, too.

Congrats Matt!

on the birth of your daughter, Mariela.  Hope she and Mom are doing great.

Glad you're back in the "MU Hoop Saddle" also.  Keep up the good work.
