Lunardi: Play in Game
« on: April 25, 2018, 07:08:53 AM »
Lunardi has us one of the last four in next year's tournament.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology

In his brackets, if we win, we play Ohio State. And, then, should we win against tOSU, we would draw the Hillbilly and his band of backwoods ballplayers.

Nothing would be more satisfying for this Warrior than to watch us send the Hillbilly packing back to the hills of rural Virginia.

Lunardi has a sick but interesting sense of humor!

Brother TAMU, where would your loyalties be if we had a play-in game against TAMU?????

Pretty awful job.  KBD is gowne, OSU should be not great next season.  If he had MU and O$U swapped I might agree.

Ha seriously, this is literally his only job, it's the off-season with nothing else to do, and it's almost like he put zero research whatsoever into it

Right. I’d be brushing up on every analytical tool out there (and applying) while, of course, knowing the make-up of every roster. He has the platform and rather than solidifying his status, he’s languishing. That said, he has a buttload of capital to burn - just not sure why he’s burnin’ it slowly but surely now.

I like it. Let everyone underrate us - MU plays best with a chip on its shoulder.

Although... if Wojo lays an egg next year now Tower can come back and say "Lunardi had us as last four in - your expectations were too high"

It literally is not his only job.  He works for St. Joseph's University.

Regardless, I have no idea why anyone pays attention to this now.

Except it literally isn't his only job.  His day job is Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications at Saint Joseph's University, he also is the color commentary analyst for the Hawks radio games.

Butler a 5 seed, have I missed something here?  They lost there best 2 players?  Hall a 10th seed, losing there top players, if anything MU
should be seeded higher than those 2.  But then again, how many teams have 2 top 100 kids, Bailey and Hauser, who did not play last year.
And now Sam, throw in JC, chemistry sometimes is built in the summer, lots of ifs.  So I can see Lunardi's thinking but if MU is healthy I can see
no reason they should not be in the Top 3 in the conference.

well, that's it. I mean, if a "bracketologist" has made his picks in April that's the final word.

He needs to create room for JC in his bracket.

I fully agree. I actually don't like when people pick us as low seeds. Let's fly under the radar and quietly just win

Ignoring his Marquette seeding, the truly bad take here may be Louisville.
They lose two of their top three scorers, top two big men, have no clear point guard on the roster and no incoming freshmen ... and goes from out of the tournament to an 8 seed?

Literally lose 4/5 starters and the only player the bring in is a transfer from a UConn team that finished outside the the top 100 and only managed 3.4 points a game. They are nowhere near the postseason next year unless they land Ramey and some grad transfer gold

A 12 seed is unacceptable. Wojo continues to disappoint. It is time we move on to someone that can get Lunardi to at least project us to a 3-4 seed in 11 months time.

Also a 12 seed is great! Wojo works best when we are overlooked. We need to stick the course with Wojo and let his 50 year plan play out. Rome was not built in a day or a year or two or five or twenty. Actually, the estimate is that it took Rome 276 years to be built. We need to be patient with Wojo.

Also, every time I see the name Lunardi I think of Mac the Night. That dude was creepy. I wish Rome had decided on a different name for the moon during its 276 year build-out.

Finally, if I hear one more thing about an Instapot I am going to be annoyed. Good barbeque / roast / ribs aren't built in a minute or two or five or twenty-five. Actually, I am lying. The gosh darned Instapot is decent. I like it. Like I like moonlight. Unless the moonlight is predicting NCAA brackets 11 months out.
