Nothing like a pellet gun with a scope when it comes to squirrels. More fun than a fella should be allowed.

A lot of anti-squirrel venom here.  Remember, while they can cause some havoc in certain scenarios, they are innocent creatures.  Regardless, this is a separate discussion from the murder of P-Nut.

P-Nut was terrified and I don't blame him.  He lived peacefully for 7 years with his caretakers.

P-Nut was a coward. And was dealt with as such. Justice.

Trying to frame an innocent Bear for vandalism.
SMDH

Four individuals in Los Angeles were arrested on Wednesday and charged with insurance fraud after claiming that a bear had damaged their cars, when the bear in question was actually just a person dressed in a bear costume.
The California department of insurance said that the suspects filed a claim in January of this year, stating that a bear entered their 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost while it was parked at Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino mountains and caused interior damage to the vehicle.
The suspects submitted a video to the insurance company, which showed the alleged "bear" inside the vehicle.
However, upon further scrutiny of the footage, "the investigation determined the bear was actually a person in a bear costume", the insurance department said in a statement.

"Detectives then discovered the bear costume in the suspects' home after executing a search warrant."

Just like moose have the right to kill humans "without mercy", polar bears also have that right. We should mourn the loss of this polar bear's life while attempting to exercise this right. There should be a "thorough investigation" as to why the bear was killed.

My brother in law used to work for the Milwaukee Zoo. He once told me that if the polar bears ever escaped, he would advise everyone to "run like hell."

Oh, I agree completely that they are no joke. But humans who adamantly insist that animals possess the same intellectual capacity as humans -orcas "sending us a message"  ;D or moose that have decided to get revenge on humans and have a right to kill them without mercy- are jokes.

Yep.  People I know that have worked with and at the diamond mines in the Northwest Territories say the reaction is pretty uniform.  You have some of the ice road truckers who are fearless grizzled dudes who drive over frozen lakes for a living and if a polar bear is sighted nearby, they bunker in their trucks or building like a dog hiding during a thunderstorm.

Polar Bears are not to be trifled with JWags.  I don't why this is so difficult to understand.  This was very unfortunate.

I was hoping that you would go to the town and volunteer to be the peacemaker between the humans and polar bears by telepathically communicating with a polar bear and "assuring "it (just like you assured scoopers that the Russians would "immediately surrender" if we assassinated Putin) that the humans want to be the polar bears' friends.
