Tuesday's Targets
« on: March 29, 2012, 08:48:00 PM »
Freeport Warrior stated in another thread that Marquette actively reached out to some targets on Tuesday when it looked like we were going to lose Buzz. Anyone care to speculate on which coaches were contacted?

One would think they would have their eye on some big name to stop the PR nightmare that would follow losing Buzz. Also shows how close it came to buzz walking.

They have no plan and that is why Buzz is still here.

Maybe we could pluck one of the one of the prize berries of the Tom Crean coaching tree...

Well at least they have a year to work on building on the list. Interesting to see which future recruits bolt a year from now. Also who transfers this summer. I'm assuming other schools will use this incident against us in future recruiting.

They have no idea what to do and prolonged it for year. They have known for nine months or longer Buzz was not their cup of tea and were caught by surprise when SMU called. My guess they dared Buzz to leave and then backed down when they called their bluff.

Totally agree with you on that Goose. That is why you would think they would have a list in case of such an incident as this weekend

I can ensure you LW has no list because Buzz isn't leaving unless a blue blood opens up.

It was in about 1,500 of those posts on that thread. Fortunately, all the people who were proven wrong about Buzz leaving for SMU are still trying to sell their BS.

As long as we have a President and AD who are looking for a way to get rid of him without firing him it won't take an offer from a blue blood, just a school better than SMU. It's going to be a long year for buzz, sort of like when Costanza had that job where the bosses gave him a crappy office and tried to make life hell for him.

Did you ever see I said Buzz was not leaving for SMU? Did you see I said on Monday afternoon you could bank it Buzz was staying? I said their is a major problem and their is today. You should read my posts and been very consistent, cryptic yes, but consistent.

If Buzz really was "available," where were the calls from Mississippi St, South Carolina, Illinois, K-State or even Colorado State? All of those jobs are better than SMU.

How many times are you going to make that reference?

Who wouldn't want Buzz gone? I heard the Pope almost left his Carribean tour to fly to Milwaukee to handle this situation. The supposed frictional relationship between LW and BW are completely fictional. They have some communication classes to take but no one is being forced out.
