2011 Recruits
« on: February 23, 2010, 07:12:05 PM »
Maybe this is a little bit to early to talk about, but does anyone know who we are really going after in the 2011 class? Or is it to early to tell?

I would imagine Branden Dawson is high on our list, considering he came to our Marquette Madness and Camp last year.  Scout shows we have a scholarship offer out to him as well.

Rodney Hood is also another name that has popped up on Scout.com lately as well.

Do we have any shot with him? I remember he came to our elite camp, and that a lot of people on this board were exited that he was there.

Rivals lists Indiana MSU, UMinn, UCLA, Purdue and Georgetown as the schools that have made offers on Branden Dawson

[edit]: Scout has the above plus MU, Illinois and Kentucky as Schools on interest

I would say at this point, Dawson is the gem of the 2011 class. Rodney Hood recently came out and said MU was in his top 5.

Dawson, Keaton Miles (TX), and Kyle Anderson (IL) were all at Midnight Madness.  Things obviously change in recruiting, but that is a good way to guage interest.

Also, you can also look at who was at the Elite Camp in August to get an idea of who Buzz might be going after (other than the ones that have since committed elsewhere).

Quincy Miller will end up at UK or Duke....his handler is the same guy who handled John Wall.

Add in Baylor and you have the trifecta. That handler's brother is on the basketball staff at Baylor.

For some reason, I read Quincy Miller, and all I could think is Oliver Miller.

Dude was large and in charge.
