Strzalka was called into mascoting due to the lack of an official mascot. It was unknown why Marquette had not developed a mascot for the 2006-2007 seasons, but people often blame the cheerleading squad. The lack of an official mascot also led to the introduction of Andrew Hess.

Strzalka's career started with what became his speciality, private parties. Before performing at any Marquette atheltics events, Strzalka had appearances at various weddings, birthday parties, bar mitzvahs & sweet sixteens.
