ESPN Evaluation
June, 2009: Poole has very long arms and though thin, he has the capacity to add a great deal of strength, which he will need as he tries to tap into his vats potential. Poole could become a very good offensive player off the dribble, but needs to continue to improve his ball-handling skills, in order to get to the bucket and drive past defenders. He has very good athleticism and leaping ability, which makes him tough to keep off the offensive boards. Poole needs to continue to work on his shooting ability and range from the perimeter, though he will make an open 3-point shot. His lack of strength causes him to take some difficult shots as he avoids contact instead of taking it on and finishing, though he has very good body control and can adjust in the air and make shots at times.
December, 2008: Poole is a long thin athlete that is very active. He runs the floor and can get to the rim and finish over defenders with his length and athletic ability. He has a good mid range game and does a great job of using his quickness to be affective on the offensive glass. He seems to always make his presence felt with a timely tip in or by keeping the ball alive for a teammate. Poole is a long armed defender with good lateral foot speed although he lacks strength. Excellent up side but must work to improve his open court ball handling and shooting range.
