 Marquette began showing interest in Morris after Buzz Williams was named head coach in April 2008.  Morris is believed to be a heavy University of Michigan lean.

 **September, 2007:** After an impressive performance (solid assist to turnover ratio) at the Reebok Summer Championships in Las Vegas during July, Morris reverted back to some old habits (poor decision making) at the Fullcourt Press Showcase. From a physical standpoint (lengthy frame), Morris has all the intangibles to be an elite point guard down the road. In addition, his jump shot has improved considerably over the past year as well. However, his decision making and shot selection were erratic at times. He looked to score and force the issue at this event rather than set up his teammates -- but then again, that generally happens in an all-star atmosphere.
