 +**April, 2008**: Gaddy was the best player in the event (2008 Adidas Double Pump) and clearly established himself as the No. 1 point guard in the West -- not to mention the entire country. Gaddy -- think former Arizona standout Mike Bibby -- is one of the special players in the Class of 2009. He is a pure point guard who possesses a crisp handle and has a flair for the spectacular when it comes to passing in transition. His court demeanor is excellent and he never gets rattled despite his team having to rally on a number of occasions to pull out the victory. He is quite the clever finisher -- more finesse than brawn -- on the break although at times he has a tendency to get too cute. His jump shot (solid lift and arc) has improved from a year go, but he needs to continue to hone that area of his game. Overall Gaddy is a special talent, and as he gets stronger look for him to have an outstanding college career and possibly beyond.

 +**September, 2007:** Gaddy came into this event (2007 Fullcourt Press Fall Hoops Classic) as the number one rated point guard prospect in the class of 2009 in the West. Although he displayed the type of skill and savvy to be an elite "lead" guard at the next level, we feel there are some areas of his game that need to be addressed. On the positive side, he has great size for the "one" spot and he is quite the nifty passer in transition as well as the half-court set. Secondly, his handle is solid and he possesses one of the better crossover moves, especially in transition. Lastly, he doesn't possess great quickness and or speed, but he is very deceptive with his handle; which allows him to get into the paint area for the occasional "floater". Despite all these stellar attributes, his approach to the game appears to be rather lackadaisical -- especially on the defensive side. In addition, his jump shot needs some definite refining -- he is capable of hitting the three point shot, but his shot is rather flat as he missed a number of open looks throughout the weekend. Overall, if Gaddy is to reach that elite level his overall intensity needs to increase as well as his consistency on his jump shot.

 +Gaddy has the most upside of any point guard prospect on the West Coast in the class of 2009. He possesses great size and length for the "one" spot and he has solid overall speed and quickness. Although he isn't a "burner" in transition, he does have a deceptively quick first step as well as a crafty hesitation move. Gaddy is a smooth player and has all the intangibles (skill and savvy) to be an elite point guard. He is an adept passer in transition as well as in the half-court set. He gets rid of the ball quickly to open teammates on the break and understands how to feed the post - though he does have a tendency for the spectacular (no look pass) on occasion. In terms of scoring he has a nice floater in the key but his jump shot is just fair at this point - has a hitch in it. Overall, Gaddy - due to his upside - should be one of the top ten point guard prospects for his class in the country a year from now. Abdul is considered a top 100 prospect in the 2009 class nationally.
