+It was career victory No. 200 at Wisconsin for Bo Ryan and the second straight big scoring performance by Leuer for the Badgers (7-2), who jumped into the Top 25 after beating Duke last week - only to lose at Wisconsin-Green Bay on Wednesday despite getting a career-high 26 points from Leuer.
+[[Lazar Hayward]] scored 21 points for Marquette (7-3), which has lost three of its last four games after getting off to a better-than-expected start to what is supposed to be a rebuilding season.
+Trailing by 11 points with less than 5 minutes left in the game, Marquette made a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 65-61 on a 3-pointer by [[Maurice Acker]] with 2:12 left. But Trevon Hughes and Jordan Taylor both made two free throws, putting the Badgers safely ahead by eight.
+Wisconsin snapped a two-game losing streak to their in-state rivals and now leads the all-time series 63-53.
+The already-heated rivalry between Wisconsin and Marquette has intensified in the past year after current Madison high school star [[Vander Blue]], a former teammate of current Golden Eagles freshman [[Jeronne Maymon]], committed to Marquette after initially indicating he would go to Wisconsin.
+Maymon was booed by Badgers fans when he entered the game early in the first half.
+Marquette was in danger of getting blown out early in the second half, trailing 52-40 after a 3-pointer by Wisconsin's Rob Wilson with just over 15 minutes left in the game.
+The Golden Eagles went on a 9-0 run from there, cutting the Badgers' lead to three when Hayward put back his own miss with 11:29 left.
+Then Marquette went cold, failing to score in a stretch of more than 4 minutes while Wisconsin went on an 8-0 run to take a 65-54 lead on a pull-up jumper by Leuer with 4:47 left.
+Wisconsin also threatened to blow out Marquette in the first half, with the Badgers holding the Golden Eagles to 4-of-16 shooting early. But 3-point shooting by Darius Johnson-Odom kept Marquette in the game.
+With Wisconsin leading 33-18, Marquette went on an 11-2 run that included three 3-pointers by Johnson-Odom.
+The Badgers finished the half on a 5-2 run to lead 40-31.
