Marquette Career

Has a deadly-accurate jump shot from the outside and great desire. Also an excellent rebounder whose great strength helps him outbattle taller opponents under the boards.

During the 1961-62 season, Flynn was the leading scorer on the freshman team with 235 points and an 18.1 average in 13 games, falling just short of Don Kojis's freshman school record average of 18.5 set during the 1957-58 season. Also was one of the top rebounders with 124 recoveries for a 9.5 average.

Flynn led Marquette in scoring during the 1963-64 season (17.3 ppg) and the 1964-65 season (16.5 ppg). He was also Marquette's leading rebounder during the 1963-63 season (10.2 rpg). Al McGuire named Flynn team captain for the 1965-66 season and he averaged 15.4 points that year. Flynn currently ranks 20th all-time on Marquette's scoring list.
