 =====  High School Career =====
 Roney hails from New York City (Hollis Queens) and attended Archbishop Molloy High School for one year. He then went to the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts, where he averaged 25.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists as a senior.  He also shot 52% from the field, 46% from three-point range and 82.5% from the foul line that year, finishing as the school's all-time leading scorer, with 1,333 points.  His efforts earned him All-State and honorable mention All-American honors in 1990-91.
