+Marc was the first basketball player in Marquette history to be named an Academic All-American.  He averaged 4.5 points per game as a freshman, 8.5 points per game as a sophomore, 9.5 points per game as a junior and 10.2 points per game as a senior.  He led the team in rebounding in both the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons.  He also served as team tri-captain - with Doc Rivers and Terrell Schlundt - during his senior year.
 +
+Despite the demands of basketball, his academic achievements were numerous, among them being named to the Dean's list for at least five consecutive semesters and to Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society.
