-I threw everything in with the meat instead of browning it first, which was the right move, IMO. I didn't drain it either, which helped keep the flavor and texture. As far as adjustments go, I used ground chipotle pepper, which added nice smoky flavor to it, without a ton of heat. Also, I would not use more than a 1/2 tsp of allspice, it's pretty strong and can make it more Skyline-ish if used too much. I left out the nutmeg/cinnamon that I saw in some recipes. +*Revised after couple more tries.
