They sure talk a lot of smack, especially the kid that looks like Sideshow Bob.  Good luck to them, this one hurts.

Markusquette

They don't deserve any luck.  They got all the luck in this game that amounts to the whole tournament.  I don't think the refs could go without calling a foul on every Stanford possession.  We're the more talented team, but the Lopez twins just have stupid little tricks that get us called for fouls.  It's not that they're good, we just can't play defense on them.

sv48

Lopez bros are bitches, we were definitely the better team..

TallTitan34

Thank God that other ref caught Sideshow provoking Trend.

kira67

Without their two big sausages, Stanford is as good as Savannah State or NJIT...

At least the Stanford interim coach knew what to do.  They ran that same play seven straight times to B. Lopez and he made six on them, including game winner.

Props to the heart of MU, they played with desire, but could not overcome the height advantage and inside play.  It really showed that we need a true PF.

McNeal was tremendous and cant wait for him next year, he has been the soul of this team.

DJ, well he shot 4-16 and has totally lost his shooting ability, along with Cubillan, who is probably 1 for 25 in three point attempts since BE tournament. Should be interesting over the next month to see if DJ even considers leaving.

It was fun to watch, but the final result was a dagger in the gut.

TallTitan34

Also don't forget we outrebounded them.  Tremendous effort on these fools.

Thomas' Danish Delight

While it is true the lopez kids are Big Bitches, they are talented, and they did their thing.

Nonetheless, they are overgrown bitches.

Who knows what may have happened if the ref used his brain and recognized that Ouse's skinny forearm couldn't possibly knock Lopez over like he portrayed.  All of us watching heard Bilas calling him out on his bitchery.

Ouse down the stretch woulda been nice.

Mitch Johnson got the 16 easiest assists ever. Here, stand on the wing. Give it to the guy who's standing in front of you, a head taller than everyone else. Don't want to? Give it to the other one.

nyg

Yup, the same wing, left side every time to B. Lopez.  No double teams and he made the shots. Like 14 points from there, including the roll around game winner

Desert_Eagle

Robin was the worst, especially when Trend got T'd up for defending himself from that a-hole's trash. I was yelling at the TV when that happened...in a relatively quiet restaurant full of people.

The last call against Ouse was complete BS

Stanford had an assist to FGM of 82% (23/28).  Key stat that will burn for a year.

Great game, great effort by the guys to make us proud.  All heart as we were very over-matched down low.

At the end I would say that Burke actually played good D on Brooke- and yet the man still got his points with ease. Kudos to him. But that other brother, damn, do you really need to get in everyone's face like a complete ahole after every single shot? Does he realize that he was being defended for most of the game by Dan Fitzgerald?

On a related note, Robin and Brooke are both girl names. I feel like the announcers should have pointed that out at some point.

That coach almost blew it for Stanford when he rested both Lopez brothers at the same time for extended minutes.  Allowed us to not only get back in the game but work with the lead for the remainder of the half.  Bad coaching on his part.

warriorfred

Seriously, fouls 24 - 14 in Standord's favor.  Marquette finally in the bonus in overtime.  After the technicals, it was all Stanford for the officials.

Not only that, but for some reason he decided to play man to man against us when we were struggling something awful against the zone with the two big guys under the basket.
