Make recruiting/team a seperate topic
« on: March 17, 2008, 01:54:47 PM »
Hi,

I know I am a new member, but I plan on becoming a frequent poster now that I discovered this forum.  One thing that I think would help separate discussion would be to make a new category besides "The Al"solely focused on discussion about new recruits, recruiting, current players etc.  I feel like important talk about recruits and our team get swallowed up by specific game talk.  It just seems like it is too cluttered in "the Al".  Anyone else agree with me here?  Thanks!

I agree that it gets a little cluttered during the season, but recruiting talk is pretty much 100% of what keeps the Al forum going in the offseason, so maybe we should leave it there?

If somebody is willing to:
a) Collect and summarize all the Marquette recruiting info out there
and
b) Keep it updated for the various recruiting years

I think we'd be happy to have a seperate area for it.  So basically, we're looking for a champion and moderator for that board.  Otherwise it just gets neglected and info is split between the Al board and the recruiting board.  Volunteers?  PM me.

Oh, and don't forget anyone can update the wiki to keep track of this too:
http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball_recruits/start
I'd like to see the two used together as a good resource for MU fans.

I wouldn't mind organizing recruiting information and moderating a recruiting section.  I've always been a fan of following MU recruits and could try to keep us up to date on each recruit and such.  I have some forum experience as well.  Thank you!  Let me know.

Alright, get to work Jamil_toMU09!

We need all the good news we can get.

Oh, and while you're at it, keep up the awesome work with the graphics!

You wouldn't be thinking of making some kind of awesome Jerel McNeal wallpaper or signature, would you?  ;)
