I think we are one and done.
In which tournament?  Even if they play like they did today they still have a shot to beat Seton Hall (current #11 seed) - so I must guess you are talking about the NCAA tourney.

Both if we don't play with our hair on fire. SH will have homecourt as the fans just have to cross the river to MSG.

Didn't we already win at Seton Hall? And pretty handily?

We crushed Seton Hall on the road, but they gave us a battle in Milwaukee. They're not that bad, but I think we'll beat them.

Does anyone else believe that perhaps TC has had it with Cubes? Since that meltdown in Nova where he was screaming in the huddle, his contribution has been nil. I mean, Scott may be a good player down the road but he is nowhere near a BE player right now, and yet there he was today, playing in the first half (with Trend and Trevor) while Cubes was buried on the bench?

Maybe because DJ has been healthy and can play more?  Or lost confidence by TC?  Both Acker's and Cube's playing time has diminished greatly in last few games. One of my vents earlier was putting in Acker and Scott C. at the same time when we were down 5 in first half.  In about one minute it went up to 10 points.

you can spin this anyway you want, but there's nothing good that can be said about this loss.  Sure hope this won't hurt our recruiting......

Don't forget, David played all summer for Venezuela. I think he's out of gas.

I don't get this comment. Not picking on you, Wiz, because I've heard this from several sources, but can you really envision a recruit who is seriously interested in us, and in whom Marquette is also seriously interested, changing their mind based on one performance? Perhaps I'm giving them too much credit, but I find it hard to believe that these kids/young adults could be that fickle. And if a recruit is that fickle (read: immature), do we really want him as a part of our program?

Actually, I think this loss is a killer in that our NCAA seeding is plummeting.  I think we're a 7 now.  When you think about it, our season profile isn't a whole lot different than last year when we were all expecting a 5 or 6 and ended up with an 8.

I apologize if people have responded to this in subsequent posts but I just had to echo this thought ... whether we deserved it or not (I would say we did not), we got a seeding at least 2 points higher than everyone and his mom had predicted. I'm not so sure that the Committee has changed (has it?) since then to give us any indication that the BE won't get shellacked versus the Big Eleven in terms of teams/seeding.

There is a Big East rep on the committee this year, last year there were none.

IAM -  not taking it personally.  most kids are pretty immature in HS and some are immature all the way through college and beyond.  I think it will hurt our recruiting because it is a horrible effort on national tv against a team that depending on what service you like is rated as low as # 51 in rpi.  It is a blow to our image and with hs kids, image is everything.
