After last night's win over Detroit Mercy, Marquette ranks out as the #1 team in the country per T-Rank when you sort for only this year.

George Washington U. is my brother's alma mater, so bragging rights are on the line!

I looked back at last year and while we also started 2-0 over cupcakes, we ranked #83 after those games. So while this almost certainly won't mean much in the long term, the numbers confirm the eye test of "this team is definitively playing better than last year's team did in the same initial sample size."
