Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Quote from: The Equalizer on July 16, 2026, 02:01:09 PMApparently, we did:
6-9 220 Andrew Jensen /Kaukauna HS /has an offer from Marquette

Not all offers are committable.  My understanding is that Jensen did not have a committable offer.

Not all that different from Hamilton and Clark. Why decide to eschew transfers for four years if this is the level of talent you're going to build your center position with?

Are we really lamenting Andrew Jensen?

Anyway, Shaka is no longer eshewing transfers. There is no need to re-litigate last year.

Shaka probably. He had his eyes on the Marquette job since Mrs Shaka made him turn it down and he knew he could blow up Wojos season and the following year if he got them to sign a letter saying Markus was a ball hog.

Haanif Cheatham. He showed the boys what's possible.

If we polled this board?  Could be anything, but probably a 14 year old Caedin Hamilton.

Lack of quarter-zips for the SPASH coaches.

If posters were prohibited from re-litigating the past many would be much less active on this board.

I mean when you can post about the same thing over and over again you just have to do it!

Ps How about Derrick Wilson? I can't believe nobody has brought him up recently.....he certainly must have cost us another stud point guard recruit because he was on the roster for 4 years.

C'mon now. It is the scoop way to celebrate those who leave and kvetch about those who stay.

Come to MU to be Fru's back up.  Not many minutes for not very much NIL money.  So, waddaya think?

Yep. And if they knew what Sheek knew (SS has hearts for 18), that would have made the pitch that more difficult. "back up... maybe... "

No, Sheek left because of the school.  This has been established as fact.  You choose the school, not playing time.

Not lamenting him at all. Sorry for the confusion, wasn't relitigating last year, but his recruiting at the center position his entire time he's been here.

Marquette's best center recruits of the last 30 years:

Robert Jackson (Crean), transfer; played one season at MU

Chris Otule (Williams)

Luke Fischer (Williams), transfer; played 2.5 seasons at MU under Wojo

Henry Ellenson (Wojo), played one season at MU

Theo John (Wojo)

Dawson Garcia (Wojo), played one season at MU

Oso Ighodaro (Wojo - retained by Smart)

Ben Gold (Smart)

Sananda Fru (Smart), transfer

... Did I miss anybody?

Quote from: Pakuni on July 15, 2026, 01:48:50 PMWhat's not true?

That a back-up big Marquette could have realistically added after Sheek's departure would greatly improve the chances of Marquette having a successful season in the event of a significant Fru injury, given the realities of the playing time and compensation Marquette could offer.

Again, the pickings were already slim, Marquette could not offer significant playing time, and  the compensation was going to reflect that.  I'm confident none of the guys who fit into that description would have a significant impact in the event of a Fru injury.

We can just agree to disagree - no need to beat the dead horse any further.  That's JB's thing.
