To be clear, I never said that any player - much less a backup - would "save our season." I never said anything close to that.
I'm not sure why you're hung up on me writing that Shaka could sell players on his ability to develop them. Can't we all agree that that's a recruiting pitch he should be making? And why are you surprised that young players who would fill a backup role are in need of development? Was Sheek a finished product? Are CH and JC finished products? Are there any college players who don't need development?

What you seem to be ignoring is that I wrote this:

You are literally stating that Shaka's evaluation of Hamilton is risking the season.  Logically, one would infer that you also believe if Shaka added someone to replace Sheek and play ahead of Hamilton he would no longer be risking the season. 

In regards to development, it all depends on where you stand.  Some guys need development to go from good to great.  Other guys need development to go from unplayable to playable, etc.

My point is you saying Shaka is risking the season by not bringing in someone to play ahead of Hamilton is complete hyperbole considering who was hypothetically available at the end of April.

Yeah, but there's a discussion that proceeds this and only a few see it this way... but, the decisions made by SS influenced the departure of Sheek. That has to be added into any judgment.

Hopefully everything works out - this team has a lot of promise. But, I'm bummed we don't have Sheek on the roster... and the fact that he's not has a lot to do with staff decisions. #pray

I'm bummed Sheek is gone, too.  And him leaving had absolutely nothing to do with Hamilton.

Said it before and I'll say it again; Hamilton does not deserve this much air time on MUScoop. I don't think Shaka is giving him as much space in his head as some Scoopers are.

Did Shaka even talk about him in the interview?
