Let's keep proclaiming that the United States is a "Christian nation," and let's keep vilifying those who aren't Christian, especially Muslims.

We need more deadly, hate-motivated attacks on mosques. Gotta thin the Islam herd!

We also need more people to be able to easily get their hands on guns. Every teenager should have access to 'em, because guns are making America great again.

There is no penalty in American anymore for being openly racist, homophobic, transphobic, anti-Semitic, being an islamaphobe, sexist, etc.

It's fully embraced from the top of the American government on down to the lowest rungs of society.  We're a failed experiment.

America has never reckoned with its original sin.  The refusal to acknowledge it, the refusal to deal with it, and the refusal to accept it as fact has been the kindling to this fire.

Also, JB needs to have a stern word with JD - the guy who coined the nickname "America's Hitler" for the fascist who would go on to preside over the executions of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

San Diego mosque shooters left document revealing racist, neo-Nazi beliefs
https://www.splcenter.org/resources/hatewatch/san-diego-mosque-shooters-neo-nazi-beliefs/

"Their screed suggests the teenagers targeted a mosque because they believed Muslim people were "invaders" in the United States. "I don't hate Muslims, at least not really. What I do hate is the religion of Islam itself and what I hate more than that is seeing them here, invading my country," Vazquez wrote. "They must be isolated and exterminated," Cain argued in his portion of the document."

Ed: I don't know where they could possibly have gotten such ideas.

"In their document, the shooters referenced specific racist conspiracy theories that have been promoted by the White House. For example, in a section titled "Mass Immigration and its Consequences," they repeated the claim — originally made in a video created by a far-right livestreamer in December 2025, and reposted and praised by Vice President JD Vance on X — that Somali immigrants in Minnesota are defrauding the government out of millions of dollars.[5] In the document written by Vazquez and Clark, Vazquez cited the alleged fraud as evidence that immigrants commit a disproportionate amount of crime (the opposite is true) and "DO. NOT. F...ING. BELONG. HERE."[6]

Rampant anti-Muslim fearmongering has come from federal elected officials. Members of Congress have introduced nearly half a dozen bills opposing so-called "Sharia law" within the past year. In December 2025, U.S. Reps. Keith Self and Chip Roy announced the creation of the Sharia-Free America Caucus. In April, Self wrote on X that the caucus had 65 members. "DEFEND THE WEST," he wrote.[9]

In March, U.S. Rep. Randy Fine posted on X, "We need more Islamophobia, not less. Fear of Islam is natural." The same month, Rep. Brandon Gill stated that "Importing Islam will annihilate America as we know it."[10] Sen. Tommy Tuberville consistently criticizes "Radical Islam," which he calls "INCOMPATIBLE with our Western values."[11]"

Ed: Oh. Right.

"The shooters were inspired by leaders and figureheads associated with the now defunct neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division, according to their social media posts that Hatewatch reviewed. In a video of the attack, one appeared to wear a patch bearing the group's logo — a black-and-white radiation trefoil on a shield.

Clark and Vazquez also appear to have drawn significant inspiration from a decentralized network that promoted white supremacist terrorism known as the "Terrorgram Collective," according to the document they published online and social media accounts tied to them.

The "Terrorgram Collective" is a loose network of content creators, primarily on the social media app Telegram."

"They didn't discriminate on who they hated," Mark Remer, the FBI special agent in charge, told reporters last week. "It covered a wide aspect of races and religions."

It's true that the manifesto covers many different races and religions. But the men zeroed in on two groups with particular rage: Jews and women.

"After the Jew, the most evil creature in the world is the woman," the manifesto says. "This is because after Jews, women tend to cause all the problems in the world."

I think it is pretty easy, unfortunately, to conflate the terrible actions of Netanyahu and the hard right extremists in Israel conducting ethnic cleansing with Jews in general, particularly on the surface.

Just like it is pretty easy, unfortunately, for the rest of the world to conflate what's being done by Trump and the hard right extremists here in our name.

As an American Jew with an Orthodox Jewish brother who lives in Tel Aviv, I reject the notion that criticizing the Israeli government's policies - especially those related to the atrocities in Gaza - is "antisemitic."

Are some of the critics antisemites? Quite possible, even likely. But to label all (or even most) critics of what Bibi's doing antisemites is really something. I mean, many American Jews criticize Bibi; does that make these Jews anti-Jewish?

Having said that, there is a real and growing problem with actual antisemitism - more and more people in America and around the world are openly expressing hatred for Jews just for being Jewish. And sometimes, that hatred is expressed violently.

Pure fantasy.  No one on the left (that I am aware of) hates Jewish people.  They dislike (rightfully so) Israel.  It is very easy to separate the two, and there is a segment of the population that likes to say that they are inseparable, and disliking Israel's actions is inherently antisemitic.  It isn't.

I'd love for you to show me some examples of leftists saying they hate Jewish people.

The examples lie in the comment sections and the replies of the most maladjusted fans of the stated examples. As we know Twitter and the like is a cesspool.

This of course does not mean Piker and the like are openly antisemitic like is being pushed, rather it's projecting the lunatics in that area of fandom into the main representation of their views. (And also a useful position to take as a centrist trying to depress the left flank).

this portrayal is similar to Muggsy saying you can't care about Gaza if you haven't denounced every single global atrocity, but there can't be a denial that Israel's batcrap insanity has manifested in projecting its actions onto all American Jews condoning it. (But do you denounce Hamas?)

America has and continues to have an antisemitism problem. However this problem is being co-opted to weaponize against prominent voices on the left.

And it doesn't really matter if they denounce the most extreme positions of their fans, it will never be enough.

The difference lies in separating condemning the nation vs projecting on the entire religion. (which piker has explained in detail many times!). This differs from the "wink wink" which I think is the important distinction between a Piker and a Tucker. But for the cynically opportunistic among us, it's the same because it's convenient to say so.

And the head Nazi in that group is the one who oversaw der Fuhrer's masked Gestapo murdering two innocent U.S. citizens in JB's town.

Bovino's only regret is that the Gestapo didn't execute more Twin Cities residents.

Good overall post.

My quibble is "stated examples" in your first paragraph.

Billy hasn't stated any examples. He just says "far left progressives"

Nice job by Texas law-enforcement officials and officers. They tracked down and arrested a Gestapo ICE agent who shot a Venezuelan man (and lied about having done so) during der Fuhrer's Final Solution operation in the Twin Cities.

I was referring to what I have witnessed in the cesspool as stated examples. But yes there have not been specifics provided

From a personal standpoint, I have two close friends working on college campuses (in Colorado) who were each victims of taunts and verbal abuse, by their own students, and were told they were not of a "protected class" and to "deal with it." One has a colleague who is also the coach of an Israeli national team who had a swastika carved into his office door and was openly mocked about one of his team members being murdered on October 7. One of the guys, in Colorado Springs, was told by his son's teachers (elementary age) that for their safety, they should "not be openly Jewish," which included bringing "Jewish food" for lunch and celebrating Hanukkah. Totally normal stuff, right? BTW, both of those guys are left-leaning. But sure, call it a "media narrative."

And keep ignoring that the psychos who carried out the attack in San Diego also targeted Jews.

Yes, Jews are now and have often been targets. Antisemitism is disgusting, and it appears to be increasing. And there are those who use anti-Israel messaging and/or actions as a thinly veiled disguise for antisemitism.

That said, there is STILL a difference between criticizing Israeli government leaders and being antisemitic. If there weren't, my Orthodox Jewish, Tel Aviv resident brother would be antisemitic ... and I can assure you that he is not.

I may have missed in skimming those articles, but where are "far left progressives" the source of anti-Semitic acts/words?

Also, anti-zionism is not anti-Semitism

Why are Jewish students being barricaded in a library? Why are Kosher restaurants being vandalized?

If they were right wing groups that would have been mentioned by the media. Do you really think the students at Columbia were a bunch of MAGA choads? It definitely wasn't moderates who woke my mom and her neighbors up when they attacked the house behind them....owned by a U of M board member. Progressive ideology is staunchly anti-Israel (it's a single issue litmus test for them now...and it's amazing to see how it's blowing up on them in Maine with Plattner) and they have used that to tar all Jews as "Zionists" and justify threats and violence.

Being able to criticize the actions of one's own side doesn't not make one disloyal to the overall cause. It's a shame the MAGAs refuse to realize that.

IMO, we need Israel as a stabilizing force in the Middle East...but Netanyahu needs to be gone ASAP.

I agree with you 100% on this. But I do hope you are aware that some would accuse us of being antisemitic for agreeing about the words you used after the ellipses.

You raise some fair and valid points regarding antisemitism from the left, but it's way off base to suggest it - and those behind it - are not mentioned in the media. The reason you know about these things is because it's in the media.

Any evidence that progressives or progressive ideology or anti-zionists are defining every Jewish person as a Zionist?

I think any country who imprisons innocent women and children and sexually abuses them systematically shouldnt be trusted with keeping the peace in a region.

I guess Israel also does that.

No wonder america has a senator that takes calls from the prime minister on a regular basis about policy.

ICE is under pressure after reporting 18 detainee deaths in the first five months of this year.

So naturally, the agency will change reporting practices.

Problem solved by the Gestapo!
