To be fair, he is from Indiana and played 2 years at Purdue before realizing that West Lafayette is a boring dump and escaping westward.

This is a savvy move by the Bears to draft a local resident of the home state of their new stadium

That's a good point.  They'll be able to sell a local hero to the Indiana Bears fanbase
