I think it's very funny, because it's so on brand, that willie has a Skype logo on his profile.

Oh that's funny. For some reason when I changed my profile, it re-inserted the Skype logo.

It's taken care of.

St John's added Reed Bailey from Indiana following yesterday's decision in CA and will soon add Vince Iwuchukwu, who played at SJU before transferring to Georgetown last year. Reportedly, one of their Euro bigs is having issues getting a visa.

This is confirmed, he's out for the year with a visa.

the decision in his lawsuit specifically mentioned eligibility at SJU. I've never heard of that before.

"In his petition to the Court for the injunction, Iwuchukwu said: "St. John's University has extended me the opportunity to return for the 2026-27 season, conditioned solely on my being eligible under NCAA rules. I will accept that opportunity if the NCAA is restrained from declaring me ineligible... I need a ruling by [September 2. 2026]. Roster spots are being filled every day, and I cannot hold a roster spot if I cannot enroll in school."

Look it up pal? Big 12 leading scorer. If St. John's whole roster is eligible they're a title contender

Missed that last week Creighton picked up two decent mid-major transfers in Brody Robinson and Fred King. The tier below SJU/UConn is going to be really competitive between Creighton, Providence, Villanova, Xavier, and us. Big East should get 7 teams in the dance this season.

This why I am still cautiously optimistic about Marquette this coming season. We will have a better idea of what we are up against in the BE after our BE brethren play their non-con games vs. high majors.

Fred King with the boomerang.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Only if conference teams do a helluva lot better in non-con games this season. Here's hoping.

Exactly right. Teams may secure bids in conference play, but leagues earn bids in the non-con.

UConn replays Elite Eight win over Duke in nonconference slate reveal

UConn had a little fun with its non-conference scheduling notes 😂

In reference to UConn's Elite Eight matchup against Duke, its "last meeting" line recapped the final call of the matchup that sent the Huskies to the Final Four with a 73-72 win."Get it in to Boozer, back for Sarr, ahead, Boozer, that ball deflected! And stolen by Mullins! Karaban, two seconds, Mullins, tosses it up...OOHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" UConn wrote, transcribing broadcaster Ian Eagle's call.
