Real Cardinals fans support Doug Eddings. They want to see the game played the right way.

Hit #36 tonight. I think he debuts late next season.

I think if the Sox want to acquire a frontline starter this winter - and they absolutely ought to - he's the asset that's going to have to go in return.
They aren't moving Roch, and Carlson won't be enough to get a legit high-end starter.
I don't think they're going to move proven 30-homer guys (Vargas/Colson) to make room for a potential 30-homer guy, either. So, Bonemar would have to move to the OF. They could try to move Meidroth or Antonacci to make LF available, but neither of those guys is going go get you the same return you'd get for Bonemar.
If they can go get a Reid Detmers or similar starter with some control for Bonemar, I think it's something they'd have to do.

Of course, that's all predicated on there being a season next year.

Bonemer has been playing CF in Birmingham the last two weeks.

Obviously don't disagree that they need a high end starter, but I just don't see them trading Bonemer. He won't even turn 21 for another month.

Yeah, he's been playing CF in Birmingham, but seems to be little chance he's a CF in the majors.
I don't disagree that he's a great prospect, but they're not getting a top-of-the rotation guy with control for scraps.

The race for the #1 seed in the NL is tightening up. It should be a fun few weeks for the remaining portion of the regular season. Bad news for the Dodgers is that they lose any tie breaker with the Brewers and the Braves based on head to head match ups. Therefore, they need to be a game better than the competition in order to take the top spot. That's a tall order this season.

Having a decent closer would be nice.

That was a heck of a catch by Lara for the Brewers.

PCA would have caught it standing on top of the wall with his feet

The Brewers have spoken.  9 games up on the Cubs.

Thank god he pulled it to left and didn't go up the middle. PCA would've caught that.

I thought that was still in PCA's range.  75% of the world is covered by water and the other 25% by PCA.

I love how PCA lives rent free in Brewer's fans heads.

I do not love having the worst pitching WAR in baseball.

Really?  You guys have as many if not more posts about PCA than your own team in this thread.

He's a clown who does a lot of clown things that are very easy to make fun of.

The Sultan

To be fair, he has toned down the clownish stuff the second half of the season and is a deserved MVP candidate.

But for TT to claim that it's a "rent free" thing is pretty lol-worthy.

He's a great player and foil.  He's the antithesis of Yadier Molina who wasn't good and was miserable all the time.  PCA is fun.

And Cubs fans get mad when you poke fun at him.
