Congrats to all the Brewers fans! Great year, tremendous postseason, exciting and deserving team.

And one last time in this 2026 MLB season ...

Sixty-nine years is a long time since the city celebrated a WS championship. Must be really sweet.

Congrats to the Los Angeles Dodgers on their 2026 World Series championship.  Never a doubt!

Jen Lada does an excellent job for the Brewers/ESPN Milwaukee btw.  2002 MU graduate.  Has she ever been involved with MU hoops broadcasts or like the Shaka Show?

But this team fights. If there is one Brewers team that can overcome that emotional letdown, these would be the guys.

I felt good about the Brewers winning last night when I woke up yesterday.  Then I saw this and I knew the Rays were toast.  #worried

Maybe now the Dodgers will get serious and spend some money on their roster.

She's been the host of the Shaka show for awhile.

She also was host of one of the luncheons in Chicago, but not all Scoopers were able to hear.

I said. If there was one team that would do it, it would be those guys. All they do is battle. Ended just as I thought it would.

I was in attendance at the Trop last night.  Pretty surreal to be in attendance at my first WS game, a title clinching one at that, whilst not being a fan of either team.  That being said, it was pretty cool to be there and to see it all happen.

Crowd was probably pretty close to 50/50.  I think Brewers fans were more vocal (certainly had more reason to be) but numbers were pretty close.  Always amusing to see the number of CRISP and unwrinkled jerseys in attendance at big playoff games like this.  Automatically gain more respect for anything older in a sea of those.  One such chap was a dude in his early 20s sitting in front of us in a fresh out of the bag Caminero shirsey.  He spent half the game being the photographer for his girlfriend posing in her also unblemished Deluca jersey at least 50 times.  A group of Brewers fans in an adjacent row had a cutout of Uecker in a wifebeater from Major League.  Shirsey asked who the guy was, was told "dude its Bob Uecker!" and he goes "is he like a team employee?"  It was incredible.

Anyone can buy a Yount or Molitor "vintage" throwback, but I specifically dapped up a dude in a unnatural carnal knowledgeing Arcia jersey (cause thats a pretty good deep cut) and had respect for anyone wearing those terrible mid 2010s navy or grey jerseys.  Same for Longoria gear or late 2010s era Kiermaier jerseys (though the best was a black glaringly mid 2000s Carl Crawford jersey).  Best apparel of the night was the guy I saw who had the vintage original Devil Rays logo...as a sizeable neck tat.  Maybe the most Tampa thing Ive ever seen in my nearly 5 years here.

All the complaints and gripes about Tropicana Field here are valid.  It REALLY shows its age, but then again, its the second oldest "modern" stadium and hasn't been updated at all.  Wrigley and Fenway are the museums, Dodger and Angel Stadium are both mid 60s joints that have held up well, and then Kaufman is the odd 70s holdover but it had that major renovation 15 years ago.  So its just Rogers Centre that is a year older (but even thats been updated).  Its just a lot of poor design stuff that has been figured out, refined, and improved in baseball stadiums over the last 36 years.  They do some cool stuff with lighting all along the railings up into the upper reaches of the stands and, being indoors, they have the ability to do cool music/sound stuff, but otherwise, its really just the most mediocre Big 4 pro stadium around right now (at least top 3)...though the stingray tank in right center field is awesome and I hope they bring that concept to the new park.

BIGGEST gripe was actually nothing to do with Tropicana Field itself.  This was my first MLB playoff game in awhile, and while I know that MLB limits controversial replays on the jumbotrons in game, I didn't realize they show absolutely NOTHING.  Its insane, not a highlight, not a great play, NOTHING.  My friend said he had the same gripe when he was at Rate Field for Sox/Guardians.  Baseball is so much more fun live than football, for example, but that really limits the experience.

Full congrats to the Brewers, absolutely ruthless and clinical team.  It pains me to say it as a rival fan, but I can't remember a team in years and years that just nailed seemingly every critical opportunity when needed at the plate.  Once the Rays went down 2, it felt like it was going to be inevitable, I thought they needed to jump out ahead to have a chance.  But being there in person, the absolute life got SUCKED out of the stadium when Vilade's dumbass caught the foul ball DEEP in right that let Contreras score the 4th.  The collective groan as he caught it was noticeable...the diehard Rays fan next to me let out a "NOOOOOO" as soon as reached out to catch it.

Made me chuckle. Wife asked what I was laughing about, so I read it to her and she laughed, too. (She likes the Brewers.)

Most of the national punditry and millions of baseball fans, including several Scoopers, had absolutely no doubt that the Dodgers were going to win it all. Thankfully, MLB didn't just declare them champions and cancel the postseason.

The Brewers, the Knicks, the Seahawks, the Florida Panthers not even making the playoffs, chaos in college football, the Rams struggling ... it's been a fun year so far for things that weren't supposed to happen happening.

Drove over from New Smyrna Beach for Game 4, what a great time. I'm a Cubs and Indians fan but was certainly a Brewers fan pre-98. Sabathia, Sheffield, Yount, Braun were in the suite behind us and were walking the halls. As was Rex Ryan of all people. Pretty cool. Seriously thought about sticking around for Game 5 but just didn't feel like shelling out more cash. Did my part at Ferg's bar, met up with some MKE friends, that place is awesome and was totally taken over by Brewers fans.

Saw a clip of Megill when asked something like what do you say to the fans. He says, "Have fun talking s%#t to Chicago next year, we have a ring." Made me chuckle. Pretty happy for all my Brewers fan friends, it's an incredible feeling for your lifelong team to win it all.
