I'll just say it...

After they went up 3-2, Miz should have been brought in. I don't care about tomorrow at that point. There is no tomorrow if he slams the door shut.

Ya...you can certainly make that argument.  We won't see Drohan on the mound again.

Didn't like the Hamilton substitution
Or Megill facing one batter
Or Drohan
Would have you considered Vaughn for Bauers?

The Sultan

The real problem was burning Megill on one batter. Should have kept Senza in because they were not hitting him either.

Agreed. Especially with Megill not pitching since Game 1. He could have gone longer. I'm not sure if Ashby will have much length tomorrow. Although, I have no idea what Tampa will do for pitching tomorrow.

The Sultan

Well tomorrow they have Miz who needs to get you a nice start. Romero and Megill hardly pitched. You can probably use Hall and Uribe too.

Agreed. I don't think risking Miz is worth it. Of course it is if it works. But catastrophic if it doesn't

Everyone is available.

Ya.  That didn't make any sense. Also, Romero or Hall might have been able to give them two innings earlier.

Murphy is a great manager, but I think a C- is a fair grade tonight.

Don't you think you're short changing him

CreightonWarrior

Pretty gutted for Pratt. That homerun would've been remembered forever.

Is it catastrophic though?

You have 3 outs to get a world championship, that's it. 2 game lead in your back pocket.

The risk is now playing another full/random game. Brewers played not to lose that game.

Asking your best pitcher to throw 20ish pitches with a lead, for one inning...you should be sending Miz out there every time. If it doesn't work out, he starts Game 6 if need be.

Based on how Murphy uses him in the regular season, I doubt there's any playoff game Ashby is unavailable for.

MuggsyB

It's just an absolute killer they didn't get that 1st out.  Maybe Murphy still goes with Drohan and they still lose, but that really changed everything.

What's done is done.  The young man needs to step up in G5 with a dominant performance.

I would certainly like the run that was gifted to the Rays on Caminero veering so far to the left he's part of DSA now

cheebs09

The parallels to 2004 Yankees/Red Sox scare me a bit, However,  I feel better about this than them coming out and winning like the Brewers did yesterday.
I feel we will be all hands on deck with the day off on Thursday.

Don't need to worry yet but better hope that Miz has his command and the mound is in better shape

Ya....they had a dud game and Murphy had a bad night.  It can happen.  I expect the focus to be there tomorrow.

.

It looked like they found a fossil of some sort in the mound.

wadesworld

Was pretty bummed as it happened obviously. But we have Miz going tomorrow. This team has been resilient as hell and they have 3 shots to win 1 game. I think they get it done tomorrow night.

GB Warrior

If someone Tonya Harding's Drohan, it's not a chronic injury and he can be replaced tomorrow
