This isn't going to work. No regime change happens due to just lobbing a bunch of bombs. Instead you have just given a chaos agent country the excuse to unleash more chaos. Why would they negotiate now? And "boots on the ground" would just be a disaster.

This was never in our strategic interests. And now there is no clear way to get out of this mess.

It's not quite that simple.  Sure, some defense contractors will get some more $, but they're already raking in billions from the government.

The real failure is not understanding that such valuable assets would be shooting down Tonka toys when this whole plan was hatched.

Turns out that Capt. Bone Spur and War Chief Kegstand lied when they said Iranian missiles hit that school, killing a bunch of children.

From the NYT:

A newly released video adds to the evidence that an American missile likely hit an Iranian elementary school where 175 people, many of them children, were reported killed.

The video, uploaded on Sunday by Iran's semiofficial Mehr News Agency and verified by The New York Times, shows a Tomahawk cruise missile striking a naval base beside the school in the town of Minab on Feb. 28. The U.S. military is the only force involved in the conflict that uses Tomahawk missiles.
