My understanding of supporting the troops is a Facebook post on Memorial Day and/or Veteran's Day. Also, bonus points for being upset on how people disrespect the flag, despite also not respecting the flag other ways.

Incredible quote from the article:

"We literally have been making this up as we go, because nothing is conceived to go on this length of time," Vice Adm. Curt Renshaw, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, said Wednesday at a virtual town hall meeting.

Also, stand up when a troop is paraded out like a circus elephant during a sporting event.  That's pretty good thanks, too.

Captain Bone Spur wore a baseball cap during the solemn ceremony honoring the U.S. troops he got killed with his unnecessary war. And not just any ballcap, but "merch" he is selling because, you know, never waste an opportunity to fleece your cultists.

But thank goodness he didn't kneel before a football game.

The guy leading the charge on both Iran sanctions and U.S. bond strategy had only a 5% CAGR when he ran his own hedge fund from 2016-2024. That was barely a third of the S&P 500's CAGR in the same span. He had five straight losing years ... and it hardly looks like he has a winning strategy in 2026.

Looks like we'll be implementing crippling sanctions on Russia, North Korea (good socialists) and China.

Is there any evidence economic sanctions work anymore on countries with developed trade and infrastructure?

Iran is used to dealing with sanctions, and the leaders there don't care about their own citizens' suffering. They have been waiting out America for decades; they have waited out Captain Bone Spur so far despite his missiles, bombs and threats of annihilation; and they won't be overly concerned about this latest ploy as they effectively keep the Strait of Hormuz closed.

Meanwhile, Bone Spur is wasting billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars in the Middle East; he's keeping our soldiers and sailors in harm's way; and he's dealing with inflation on gas and a zillion other things. As the midterms approach and pressure builds here at home, Iran will just continue waiting him out.

That's exactly what Xi did when it came to economic pressure on China during this guy's first term, too. Xi simply waited him out. Dictators and leaders of autocratic theocracies don't have to worry about annoying things like elections and courts and the Constitution. Bone Spur tries really hard to undermine those things in America, and he has definitely chipped away our constitutional republic's guardrails ... but, to his dismay, he still lacks the wherewithal to be an actual dictator. So far.

There is definitely some waiting out the current admin.

But Russia has been under some of our biggest sanctions for how many years under both parties.

These countries are learning and adapting. Sometimes just surviving, other times thriving.

Of course they will.  They'll pass the blame along to minorities and immigrants with the help of Fox News and right wing media.  They're not very smart.

73% of farmers knowingly, eagerly, voted for this crapstorm.

They couldn't remember all the way back to his first term, and anyway it was more important to punish trans people than it was to save their own unnatural carnal knowledgeing livelihoods.

They know the socialism is coming to save them.  They'll vote for him again because they believe the lies of right wing media.

Then they'll get socialism again from whatever Democrat gets elected next because they're going under and still vote in fear of immigrants stealing their land (ironic, dontcha think?).
