X just took SJU to the wire.  Gtown is getting healthy.  They both might be improving faster than MU.  DePaul... Is unpredictable, but I expect a close game with them.

Quote from: BM1090 on February 10, 2026, 11:25:39 PMOnly one game left on the schedule that I wouldn't consider gettable.

I would love to agree, MU is playing *better*.  But that's a far cry from good.

Quote from: BM1090 on February 10, 2026, 11:25:39 PMUp to 41st in Torvik the last four weeks. Playing like a fringe tournament team, and that honestly feels right. Decent team right now. I think we get three more wins. Get over the road hump vs. X. Win at Georgetown, then DePaul at home.

Only one game left on the schedule that I wouldn't consider gettable. Just don't think this team is consistent enough to win four more.

Forget about winning 4 more.

The only thing that matters is can this team win 4 more in a row at the Garden?

Quote from: rocky_warrior on February 09, 2026, 12:55:40 PMThey were playing better @DePaul right?  And @Butler?  And @Seton Hall too.

But OK, you can put your head in the sand.

Hmmmm?

Quote from: BM1090 on February 09, 2026, 01:13:55 PMDePaul? Nah. The other two? definitely.

To answer the question. I'd guess we win 3 more games the rest of the year. But it really depends if we snag one of the next two road games. I think if this team can get one on the road, the lid will come off and they'll win at Georgetown and Providence.

Yup.

Quote from: muwarrior69 on February 09, 2026, 10:11:04 AMI think it is a matter of pride to at least salvage that out of this dreadful season.

If we do, then we will not have a 20 loss season including the one loss in the BET and if by some miracle a loss in the NCAAT.

Can we? Sure. Will we? Almost certainly not. But if we can get the 7, play UConn again without Hurley on the sideline, then play a Nova team we had last second shots against twice, who knows? Maybe we're playing Saturday and anything can happen.

Maybe it was 2 in 14,000,605.

I like your math a LOT better than MU82's.

It would be less shocking that Georgetown's championship a few years ago.

But I wouldn't bet more than a dollar of my own money on it.

I think I kind of prefer getting Butler, then StJ, and SH/Creighton and UConn or whoever's left.

I know X would be the weaker first rd opponent and StJ in the Garden is a bad matchup for Marquette, or any team, but that's what I prefer.

Having to beat UConn and then Villanova just to get to the final seems worse imo

If it is UCONN, Hurley will demand MU scalps. St. Johns at MSG is no day at the beach, but I agree-it's better than a UCONN rematch.

Hurley won't be at the game, though.

Help me out here. Because of the double T? If so, I am unaware of this. Maybe because he made physical contact with the ref (although Hurley denies this)?

Typically physical contact results in a suspension, and it was pretty clear and obvious. We'll see though, nothing official yet.

But I don't think this is something the NCAA lets slide

I agree. I don't want UConn to have a chance to get revenge that quickly.
