Man, I am not a big fan of figure skating but Alysa Liu seems like an absolute joy.

the funny thing is she's a "comeback story" at the age of 20. Retired after 2022. A couple years later decided she wasn't done. Her energy was fun to watch.

Her dead left China after being oppressed. They tried to recruit back but they said no. Makes her gold that much better.

I would make a Slovakian oriented joke but I don't know anything about Slovakia other than it's the poorer part of the former Czechoslovakia.

Not yet. FWIW, Canada was losing 2-1 midway through their QF game before Crosby got hurt, and they rallied to tie and then win without him. With or without him, Canada is formidable ... although, as we've seen, this notion that Canada is some unbeatable force has been dispelled.

The American team obviously is loaded with talent. Not only won't it be a miracle if they win Sunday, it really won't be much of an upset.

I think it would be a significant upset but hope I'm wrong. Unless their top 4 guys are gassed from the Finland game.  But we are much better than prior USA hockey teams.

The money line is almost identical for each team. It would not be a significant upset. Canada had enough trouble with the Czechs and Finns.

Well, I hope they're right.  Canada could be playing possum.  I'm not particularly confident dealing with McDavid, MacKinnon, and Celebrini.

I didn't know that but they could be dicking around or lost focus because of Crosby.  Again, I hope I'm wrong.
