Doing my part, I just put $ on Butler.  I'm out of Heady Topper, but have some Focal Banger on hand for the occasion.

Let's see if Broeker can convince him to put his name on the MU basketball staff and pay him to be our "GM" and do nothing other than be listed on the website as GM. Fear we will be left behind if not.

Made it out alive, but still taking my chances, across FIFO in a class '83 post game event. Need to leave before sundown.

Wade wouldn't be in my top-100 of people I'd want for that role. Not sure any former player would. But any high major program not actively looking to fill that role is being negligent and the person in charge should be fired.

These are professional organizations now. Every pro sports team in this country has a GM. Marquette would be stupid not to find one and heads should roll in the athletic department if it isn't addressed.

Not sure if this was a joke but was the OP too afraid of "urban folks" to venture out of their hotel room?

If so, pathetic. Stick to the burbs and maybe recalibrate your "news" intake.

Uh oh.  The guy who claims credit for inspiring the powers that be to fire Wojo is out for more heads!  Look out Broeker!  Can somebody please Tweet at him to let him know his ass is in the jackpot and he needs to hire a GM immediately, or brewcity will be writing a scathing blog that the BOD will see and act upon?

Good golly man, we need to make you the Marquette President, AD, and head of Marketing.  These people are so freaking clueless, they tripped forward into these roles they have no clue how to carry out.  We wouldn't have the embarrassment of no hot dogs at a free open practice, our schedule wouldn't involve neutral site games in Chicago, we'd have a GM who could put together competent rosters.  This is all so unacceptable and people are not doing their job capably, and action is needed!

There are a ton of posters, past, present, and banned, who have had an overinflated sense of self worth, but my god nobody comes close to you.

We know this season sucks.  There's nothing that can be done now to address that.  We know Butler sucks and this win isn't some sign of incredible things going on with the program.  But can we just spend NMD enjoying a rare win on the season, rather than telling everyone how incompetent everyone in Marquette's athletic department is?  I can't imagine living my life telling everyone how incompetent everyone else is.

This is going to be one of those things where we look back in 10 years and laugh at the fact we had coaches leaving their team during the season to sit in high school gyms and assistants reaching out other potential transfers instead of actually coaching their team.

You use a lot of words here but really don't say anything to address his point.

Having coaches leave their teams to recruit will always be part of the scene, but all sorts of sports organizations have realized that separating the coaching role from the talent evaluation role makes sense.

You think 10 years from now coaches won't be visiting kids in the season?

I think there will be support staff separate from the coaching team who will handle the majority of recruiting and recruitment related activities.
