Too bad you went to Marquette. Liberty University is a bit less than an hour from me, and I can tell you for a fact that you would have fitted right in with them. The difference is nobody is claiming Charlie Kirk deserved it and that his antagonizing students were a death sentence for him.  Everyone agrees he shouldn't have been murdered, and everyone agrees his murderer should be prosecuted.  It's not hard to say that, even if some people used his own words and now people get offended at that.

Alex was not a public figure, but his life has since made public.  If you hadn't heard of Alex Pretti before he was murdered in cold blood, you'd have never known a single thing about him.

It's beyond whataboutism. One was a horrible murder carried out by a lone individual who had been steeped in gun culture and evilly saw that as a way to redress his grievances. The other is murder conducted and carried out for and by the fascist government.
