Just another right wing skank doing her skank thing.

These people are simply sociopaths and narcissists crying out for attention. Why society listens to these defective human beings is beyond me.

And yet nothing will be worse than this one:

"And by the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white. But this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black Santa, but Santa is what he is, and just so you know, we're just debating this 'cause someone wrote about it, kids."

She compared the issue to that of the portrayal of Jesus.

"Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn't mean it has to change," she said. "Jesus was a white man, too... He was a historical figure, that's a verifiable fact, as is Santa. I just want the kids watching to know that."

ICE agents are going to be the personal protection for Rubio and Vance during Olympics in Italy?

What happened to the secret service?

The ICE agents will have a great chance to make some money in Italy. They're going to make a killing.

If we're looking for historical comparisons, ICE is less of a law enforcement agency and more of a closely-controlled paramilitary or personalist strong man faction. The deployment and expansion of their use and roles shows the degree to which the current regime prioritizes personal loyalty above all other considerations. ICE owes its sweeping remit, vastly expanded budget, and perhaps most importantly, the promise of immunity from any consequences (i.e. even if not shielded from investigation then the expectation of presidential pardon) to the regime. Therefore, they have (at least as the regime sees it) every incentive to be perfectly loyal.

Independent agencies or branches of state power like the secret service don't have that same buy in.

Is it smart to prioritize loyalty over everything and to assume that a personalist paramilitary faction will remain loyal? Eh, maybe don't tell the regime to google "history of the Praetorian Guard"

The Italians are unhappy.  Probably are doing a little better at remembering the lessons of history and wish to avoid occupation by the brown shirts.

I spend a lot of time in Italy.
My claim to authority.

They remember WWII, to them it's recent and personal.

The Nazi SS, not our SS, took over a local convent and turned it into a prison for partisans, jews, and other undesirable Italians.

They talk about frequently. Bergamo Italy, check it out.

The commander in chief freed the January 6th insurrectionists and then hired them into his goon squad.

They have NO IDEA how Italy deals with criminals.  It could be very interesting, the Carabinieri vs. the January 6th Confederates, stand by.

Very interesting, masked men with body armor, assault weapons, ammunition, gas masks, vs. women, and ICU nurses.

Last week we had a demonstration here in Wilmington N.C., no Hispanics, Black's, or Police.

I'm a New Yorker from New Jersey, I'm here for two months.  I have seen only one MAGA license plate.  No bumper stickers, flags, hats, or paraphernalia in support of our president, and its North Carolina.

Oh, and changing the local commander in Minnesota does not solve the problem.  The so-called commander in chief is the problem.  FOX News is a symptom of the problem. Hypocrisy is the probleml

Top Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino and some of his agents are expected to leave Minneapolis on Tuesday and return to their respective sectors, according to three sources familiar the discussions, sidelining a key player in the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

I am well aware that at the top, the ICE action is political.  But try not to get this topic locked guys.

I don't think a "changing of the guard" in MN is enough.  The "guard" needs to be mostly gone immediately, with the remaining law enforcement officers working with the state for actual dangerous criminals.  Enough with the ICE agitators!

We have an office with 6 employees in Gazzaniga.  My wife and I spent the last day of our trip to Italy visiting the office and having lunch with everyone, and then one of the employees spent the afternoon with us in Bergamo teaching us about the city's history before we had dinner with her and another employee.  Very interesting stuff.  She showed us where all the bodies that were lining the streets during COVID was as well.

Protestors tried to get cute out here in the suburbs last night.. apparently they believed Bovino was staying at a hotel a half mile from me, so they caused a ruckus outside.. the police arrested several weirdos.

I was going to order pick-up from a restaurant across the street last night when this was going on.. glad I didn't. I lived through riots in Minneapolis while living downtown.. not fun. Apparently some property damage here last night, but nothing too crazy as the police shut sh1t down.

ICE officers were staying in the hotel, and obviously very professional and respectful

Protesters were outside of Bovino's hotel last night, demonstrating against the leader of the murderous ICE agents who executed Alex Pretti, a man who they considered a dangerous weirdo aka protester. Some of them hurled objects at the police and were arrested, as they likely expected and deserved to be.

There was some property damage, but no one was murdered by the ICE agents. Fortunately for the protesters, the police rather than ICE agents handled the situation, which dramatically reduced the likelihood of another protester being murdered.

Edit: Time to admit that I might have put just a little bit of a spin on this.

The new hospital, we call it socialized medicine, I call it Christian medicine, they call it medicine is over the top good.  I was there once and can report, first hand it being superior to the best hospital in New Jersey. But then, what do I know.  Glad you enjoyed Bergamo.
