Squirrel Appreciation Day

Our neighbors used to complain that our cocker spaniel along with the labs next door, the mutt on the other side and the German Shepard behind us drove all the squirrels in the neighborhood into her yard.

In Northern Wisconsin, the chipmunks and squirrels tormented the dog I had as a child each day, chirping at her and then running up the nearest tree. Even the birds dive bombed her and, when we left her on the screen porch, the deer would torment her by kicking at the door.
