Will suck to be #13 in the conference. #11 doesn't sound nearly as bad. #muMbb

Quote from: Viper on Today at 09:44:11 AMtechnically ND football is still an independent with an 'agreement' to play ACC schools. Didn't ND get an 'agreement' with the college football playoff committee that if they are ranked at least top 12,  they are in? (or, something like that) I do wish MU played them regularly. I guess those days are long gone. ND was always my most hated rival now replaced by RED.

That's my point. Most of their sports are ACC, except hockey which is Big 10. They have to have some affiliation with a football conference to get a few games guaranteed. Thus, the BE is non starter.

Today, U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) is leading a letter with Senator Jon Husted (R-OH) to Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman to encourage the conference to add Saint Louis University (SLU) and the University of Dayton (UD) to the Big East.

As always, a pointless post.

Quote from: DienerTime34 on Today at 08:19:43 AMAckerman should have paid a visit to South Bend the day after ND was snubbed from the CFP. That was the moment. Now it looks like the fences have been mended with the ACC. Blown opportunity.

They wouldn't dream of parking their nonrevenue sports in the Big East.

They don't have to dream, they've done it.

That Big East isn't this Big East.

Revenue shares will remain the same when we get relegated

Random but not deep thoughts lol.
Talked to a Notre Dame family. They said Notre Dame to the Big East again could happen after the football playoff snub.
How likely that is probably doubtful but could happen.

At the Marquette Dayton game this year. Dayton fans sitting by us said they wanted to join the Big East and replace DePaul haha.

True. This BE wins BB national championships at a higher rate. ;)
