Except that he did NOT start a healthy Sean upon his return. He stuck with Nigel. I guess maybe Nigel is one of his guys, too?

They are all his guys, that's the point. He's loyal to them all to a fault when he should want guys like Hamilton and Norman and maybe even Jones after another injury gone.

Sure, but he's too loyal to them all. Even the ones that should obviously move onto somewhere else.

Tre and Caedin have no business being on this roster. Even if they don't play, having them on the roster is holding us back. Will he find a way to move them on?

But you were specifically talking about starting Sean over Nigel and the loyalty to his guys playing a part in that decision.  That's why it didn't make any sense.

Because I thought it would impact Sean's want to be here...and I think Shaka wants Sean to be here.

The right move was to start Nigel, I just didn't think Shaka would actually do it. Just like I don't think he will replace guys like Sean, Caedin, and Tre next year. He hasn't necessarily done what is best for the betterment of the team the last year and a half. Starting Nigel and removing Caedin has been a pleasure start. Hopefully he follows through with more in the offseason.
