Owens has moved down the depth chart due to his lack of physicality. He has plenty of skill. Phillips plays a lot more physically and aggressively than Owens at this point. Norman moved ahead of Owens on the depth chart because he's more physical on both ends of the floor.

By contrast, Stevens and James are surprisingly physical for freshmen. Coming from HS basketball factories makes a difference.

Lowery continues to defer way too much and should be taking it to the hoop. Ross should be his model. Lowery is strong enough that he could make a living at the line.

Gold and Ross are stepping up as expected. MU needs Lowery to do the same.

  Fun game to watch.  Very nice to see NJ thrive in the starting role.  AS is going to be a stud, incredible defense.  Love the Chase dunk and his overall game last night.  Clark intrigues me, hope he just continues to develop and get stronger.  Glad Phillips hit a three last night and not in garbage time.  He looks taller and more broad shouldered than Owens when he was standing next to him.  That kid could be a huge coup for Shaka.  He has the frame to get a lot stronger.  Agree that Owens seems to be lost.  Did not see that coming. Tre played ok.  Glad he hit a three but he just seems so unreliable offensively it makes us easier to guard.  Ben's defense and rebounding were excellent.  Wish he was even more aggressive offensively.  Couple times last night he drove the lane only to pass it out. Zaide is another player who needs to be more aggressive as well. Overall,  good warmup for Maryland.  Will be at the game with the family.

On the second, he was in perfect shooting position and swished it, with perfect form. I'll take that shot from him - and a whole lot of other MU players. If he can show Shaka that he won't get lost defensively, he definitely could see increased minutes. Great point about Ben. There were two occasions when I yelled, "Shoot the ball!" after he drove within a few feet but then passed it out. Overall, I like what he's bringing, though. Enjoy the Maryland game - bring us a win!

He's a bit too slow and robotic on his drives right now. But the shooting stroke is so pure that if he can grow defensively he'll have a place in the rotation. 5-10 MPG, get 3-4 threes up.

In his post-game interview on the radio, Shaka definitely implied that Sean was going to be out for "a while."

I agree that this might be the BEST lineup, but I'm not convinced it will be the STARTING lineup.  I think Shaka is committed to starting Caedin and I think Sean gets his starter job back as long as he isn't out long.  If we don't see Sean until January, that might be enough for NJ to take the job.

James is better than Jones. James should start and get more minutes. Parham is better than Hamilton. He should start.

Well, Sean managed to hurt himself again playing basketball........his shoulder this time and he is out indefinitely.💔💔💔💔💔 Meanwhile, I've stressed myself down to the smallest I've been in 9 years.

We need PG depth.  Nigel is more talented and better, but remember he's a Frosh.  He hasn't really played against elite competition.  Not having Sean, despite his early struggles, definitely hurts us.
