Running it back today.  It would be nice if Shaka were once again able to get 10 minutes of run for nearly the entire team.  Now that all of the opening night adrenaline is spent, will the defense have the same intensity?  Will the offense start to smooth out?

I hope Southern runs a man defense so that we can see MU's man offense.

Watched a bit of their first game (pretty bad feed):

These guys play at a quick pace. Man to man defense. 9 guys got more than 10 minutes for them. Think their head coach is still battling an illness and won't be there.

MUbiz

Southern shot 12/27 for 44% from 3. But shot 11/24 from foul line for 45%. Interesting shooting splits.

If he makes a large enough contribution to the MU NIL fund, I say let him sit on the bench.  After we see how he does on high fives, move on from there.

We should have a large lead late in the game. Maybe Shaka will put him in then to see if he's any good.

Everything I read in the NBA thread indicates he is terrible and should have been traded years ago.   Pass.

He'd have a better coach at Marquette.  Plus, guys who have been playing in the GLeague for 3 years are going to college.  Why not Giannis?  He's never played college basketball.

You make a good case for letting him play tonight. Maybe he could help out in our UCONN and St. Johns games also.
