I'm not sure if we can harness it, and there's only one basketball, but my biggest takeaway from yesterday was Marquette's overall zoomability.   We have several burners, which is always a positive on any basketball team.  It's even a larger feather in our cap if we can legitimately play 9/10 guys and make our opponents gasp for air.

Now what I mean by harnessing our speed comes down to decision making off the bounce, whether it be in transition or in the hc.  Sloppy turns obviously drive scoopers up the wall, so limiting those is important.  Attacking and FINISHING is also absolutely paramount.  Whether it be draining the chippie or converting at the line.  I thought we showed promise on the drive and kick but guys need to splash those open J's.  We will go as far as draining the open trifecta and Parham/Owens at the 4.  I get Albany is Albany but these are my first impressions.

It isn't just the speed, but the length. In limited minutes, Clark seemed to alter everything at the rim. Owens at the top of the press was awesome with his wingspan. As you said, it was Albany so take it for what it's worth, but the pace of play we're going to impose is difference making.

Shaka said as much.

Clark and Hamilton had some good moments last night.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I'm disapointed in myself.  Before clicking on this thread I challenged myself to list every Muggsyism that would appear in the OP. I missed "make our opponents gasp for air" and had "introduce our opponents to darkness" instead.  Got the rest though

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Only because Muggsy provided him with this script. Shaka relies upon Muggsy to compose stirring, inspirational pregame speeches.

Just imagine what it would be like if we did not have Muggsy here.

Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.
